As all above posters said, earliest possible is the first maintenance period of March. It was originally speculated for Feb 26th, but there hasn't been a 2 week warning PvP blog post about the end of season, that will likely be tomorrow then we'll have the patch and end of season for PvP 2 weeks later.

It was never confirmed for feb 26th, it was speculated for feb 26th based on the testing phases of the thunder king isle.

I'm still banking on February 26th, as that was their original plan (blog post earlier stating target date of last week of February) and as far as we can tell their testing schedule has been moving along accordingly, though March 5th is not a far fetched guess also. March 19th is absurd though they are absolutely not waiting another 3 weeks from this day.

They originally said 5.2 will hit in the last week of February (so 26th) but a week later they said we can keep our VP and we'll be able to earn 3000 until 5.2 hits. When asked if that means that it will hit March 5th they said it's math.

So it's safe to assume that march 5th is the new target date.

Nope, there was no speculation. This was the first time ever that blizzard gave a date... which it seems the pushed back a week.

As stated in a blue post by Blizzard on the 11th, "Of course we don’t tend to give out patch release dates ahead of time, because things can slip, but right now we’re targeting the last week of February" so February 26th isn't based off of mere speculation brought about by analyzing patch releases. Now they could very well move it back, which would not be surprising, but you also have to take into account that a 2 week notice, while rather common, is not necessarily guaranteed, but we'll likely find out tomorrow!

They pushed it back cause people "weren't ready" and "needed more time to cap their valor". They said a couple of days ago that they were pushing it back a week from their original date to give people 3 weeks to cap out valor.

I've been wondering about the 3000 valor comment. I read it as if we would be able to get 3000 valor tp spend on the week of release, which to me includes said weeks valor cap reset which would still put the target date at Feb 26th as there were 2 resets left (2000 VP oh I'm so good at math) plus the 1000 the week of, but this is prob. just me praying for it to be out on the 26th as I want to hunt Dinosaurs and kick some turtles!

This blue post was made after the original post saying they were aiming for the 26th. As this is more upto date information I think it's far more reliable.

How long does it take to earn 3k valor starting from 0 ? 3 weeks. What date will it be 3 weeks after this blue post was made ? March the 5th/6th.

The patch is March the 5th/6th at the earliest.
