    I dont believe you people.

I'm not talking about a 5 minute channeled cast to repair your gear.. not even a 3, or even a 1 minute cast, im talking about a MAX of 30 seconds.

    30 SECONDS

    Thats it.

And for minor repairs like 5-10 seconds. Lol, you all do realize you spend more time jumping around in circles, buffing, talking on mumble / vent, messing around than it would take to repair your gear?

Seriously, sometimes I think people complain for the sake of complaining.
Yes, because every time I get the oil changed in my car, or something fixed in my house, the only thing I can think about is how lucky I am that it takes as long as it does. In fact, not only am I blessed that it takes as long as it does, I should get down on bended knee and beg to the heavens for it to take even longer.

If you removed the gold cost from repairs then MAYBE I'd want to put up with waiting 30 seconds every time I want to repair.

Even then, that's still a pretty big maybe.

Also: if the OP wanted real immersion, the repairs would take at least an hour, per piece. You dream small, OP.

I second this response. Please dont insult me just because I think its a great idea that brings a lot of depth and immersion to the game.

Only if it applied to Tailors, Leatherworkers, and Blacksmiths repairing their own gear. Not NPCs.

    Cast timers for repairs: No.

Blacksmiths having the capability of doing repairs: Sure.

How would a cast bar on repairs make your game, OP, personally more fun?

    I'm waiting.

No really. I want a good reason, because this idea is terrible.

Not here to debate whether it's a good or bad idea. I will point out that there is no sense in trying to apply logic to a game where I can cook an entire Thanksgiving meal in 15 seconds.

Yes, lets go ahead and make a tediously annoying mechanic even more tedious and annoying.

While we're at it, lets remove graveyard runs and just make players reroll new characters if they die.

Oh no, it would cause a MASSIVE uproar from almost everyone.

Yeah i wish we would have to have to hit our keyboards in a combo-fatality like sequence to fix our gear. That would be exciting.

To restore immersion to the game we really need to fix clam stacking.

Clams don't stack. I can't believe in a game where clams stack. When clams stack all I can think is "this is totally fake."

The cast would be like 30 sec cast for really broke gear, to 5 sec cast for minimal broken gear.

    What do you think?

Also, what do you think about players who have the blacksmithing profession, are able to repair your gear with a cast timer as well? Blacksmiths could set their own prices and we would have a new economy going.
How does a cast bar = immersion?

No, not at all. Cast times would just be a huge inconvenience.

I do want Blacksmiths to be able to repair gear though, even if it's just our own and it took a small amount of mats depending on the gear (i.e dungeon gear needs 1 ghost iron bar per piece and raid gear takes 1 trillium bar per piece, to compensate for free repairs.)

And if you do the combo wrong, you end up damaging your armor even further.

    SO IMMERSIVE!

Anyway, on topic... no. This is not a good idea.

If you want to waste your time don't use "repair all" icon then. Use "repair" and click every piece of gear one by one. That's your wasted 30 seconds. Enjoy.
