Should I upgrade my Malv gear before 5.2

It might be a silly question but I haven't seen if they're going to lower the ilvl of Mal gear for 5.2, will it be a waste to continue to upgrade my gear now or should i be using it on Spirit of Harmony or just save for the silver conversion.

you absolutely should be upgrading now.

you should even be upgrading existing malevolent gear before buying new pieces.

upgraded malevolent will be better than what you will get from honor in 5.2.

This. The difference between upgraded Maly gear (491) and Tyrannical gear (493) is only 2 ilvls.
