collectible card game...ffs. Fail, fail fail.

So underwhelmed. Kinda cool that it's online though, so you can have that gameplay even if you don't know other people who play it. And F2P with a low barrier will probably make them more money than the TCG game did. I expect there to be WoW loot tie ins and all that jazz.

Looks pretty interesting. I bet they'll find all sorts of ways to tie-in pets, mounts, etc. into WoW to get/keep people playing both.

Must be hard for a company as big as Blizzard. They could literally say "we have a very small project in the works, targeted at a small niche market" and the fans would explode and hype would go crazy.

There was. Of course, most of it was thanks to the community overreacting after the announcement, which actually said it would be a "little something". The only way Blizzard could have announced it without massive hype would have been to not mention the panel at all beforehand.

Personally, I was actually hoping for Blizzard All-Stars news, since I'm really interested in that. This looks pretty cool though-CCGs are fun, but with my luck, it's far too expensive by the time I get the cards I need. With the free pack unlocks, I can actually get into this! Also why I like Duels of the Planeswalkers (also looking forward to the next version of that).

You have to wonder how often the people who complain about hype actually read the releases from the company rather than go purely off of second hand info.

Blizzard making a special blog post and Rob Pardo making a few tweets could become Blizzard making a huge announcement and Rob Pardo tweeting all about the subject depending on your source.

Between diablo 3 and this, I think blizzard is TRYING to lower expectations so titan seems more awesome.

I'll play it.. depending on the final price of the booster packs, I'll definitely give it a go. I'm a big MtG fan anyway, both physical and digital, so looking forward to trying it. I play MtG on my iPad and I'm happy it'll be on iOS as well.
