Imo they should give something for the people who sub every month for x months...
Feels like an amusement park. I got a card so i can enter when i want, but i still have to wait in line and such.
Then the people who didnt want the card, they get a free week where they can skip lines and such for no additional price. Sure i can try the rollercoaster more, but still doesn't seem quite fair...

Trying not to sound too nostalgic, but games used to award their long time players, rather than their short term players. I reckon that's why a lot of players find it hard to find a proper new game these days, and stick with WoW for lack of better (hence all the whining about how the game is dying). It's more rewarding to jump ships than to stick to just one.
Good business or not, it feels like peeing your pants to keep warm to me.
Couldn't of said it better myself, thats if this is true. Played since beta and never ever have i felt blizzard care about long term subscribers, only things i got free was for logging in on wows anniversary. Of course i don't think this would bother me that much if it wasn't for new/infrequent players getting alot of the good things.
Time to take off the rose-tinted glasses. Games that used to award long term players were too elitist. They catered to people who wanted to feel like special snowflakes.
The new policy is clearly better. Blizzard has realized that they no longer have to please long term players to be profitable. Welcome to the future.
While i don't agree with the aggressive angle you took here lol, i do agree with the sentiment, that's one thing i loved about Aion, Veteran rewards, it made you feel valued for once, and Blizzard don't seem to do anything about telling their long term players "thanks"
Even the anniversary rewards have gotten stale now, used to be cool things, not the same letter twice in a row lol
I still dont get why Blizzard gives the players who quit gifts, instead of giving gifts to the ones who actually play and pay every month. Blizzard logic
That's a huge bunch of crap lol, It is true, and it helps, it doesn't have to be much of a reward, just something to say they appreciate your sub, that has fuck all to do with special snowflakes or elitism, You're really getting those terms confused with something else :P
Reminds me of when i was in the UK, paid taxes all my life but when it came to getting medicine or dental care i had to pay yet people on welfare got it all free. So i pay for this system for other people to use yet i can't use it for my benefit, well played. Just screw over the people who actually pay regularly /Rant
Monk leveling is super easy anyway. Full heirlooms + 10% guild perk + 1 hour daily 50% exp boost = Level 85 Monk in about a week.
