    $300 Graphics card?

I'm looking to buy a graphics card under (or around, if its really only 20 more and WELL worth it) $300.00 range. I'm going to be playing WoW, Maybe Guild Wars 2, and possibly a couple FPS games (like black ops).

$300 being my budget, whats your suggestions?

I am using www .newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150588 which I bought about a month ago, comes with free Crysis 3 and Bioshock: Infinite, I run 65-100 fps on WoW with every setting maxed out, and crysis 3 was auto set to max graphic settings, no temp issues or anything so far, its over $300 initially, but $290 with the $30 mail in rebate.

Im interested in these cards, mainly the Nvidia GTX 660ti FTW. I'm also searching for a motherboard around the $150 price range, suggestions? :3

I bought a ~325$ (tax and shipping included) card in 2009. At the time i think it was about the 4th best card on the market. Still running it today, with no real need to put a new one in. Do I want a new one? Sure.

Imo, try getting a 150$ card, use it for two years, then get another 150$ card. I would think you would like those results better.

Above listed are pretty much equal in performance, although the price is very different i'd just go ahead and get the 7870XT which is 7950 performance and can be overclocked much further.

Finding a motherboard for you requires us to know which CPU your planning to use.
    8700K (5GHz) - Z370 M5 - Mugen 5 - 16GB Tridentz 3200MHz - GTX 1070Ti Strix - NZXT S340E - Dell 24' 1440p (165Hz)

I'd advise against the Sapphire 7850 or 7870, there have been quite a few issues reported with Sapphire builds of this card, (and I myself had problems with an XFX 7850)

I'd go for the 660 TI if I were you (I got the GTX 660 myself to replace the 7850)

I do apologize for my noob-ishness, with that Motherboard, it requires DDR3 RAM, right? (Kind of next on my list on what-to buy).

The 7870 XT card does not have these issues that have been reported with Pictarin based 7870 cards, which incidentally have been revised and updated and fixed. I know the issues you're talking about. It was the black screen issue, which was a geniune issue which Sapphire initially denied ever occuring and then had to acknowledge once a number of reports on the web from confirmed users started growing.

The 7870's are excellent and there is nothing wrong with them, what kind of issues were you having?

No point wasting money, a 90 $ board will do the same job as a 300 $ for the average gamer.

That's weird I have had my XFX 7850 since release and it has been solid for me. I would say if you playing WoW and WG2mainly I would get something like this:

If you're down to spend more money, the next step up is the Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H. Its higher VRM quality allows it to handle high overclocks (5+ Ghz).

    I've decided on:

    Motherboard: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B007KTY4A6/?tag=pcpapi-20 AS Rock LGA1155 DDR3 SATA3 USB3.0 Quad CrossFireX and Quad SLI A GbE ATX Motherboard Z77 EXTREME4

Video Card: 660ti, as for which one I'm not sure. I plugged in 660ti @ newegg, and theres a couple from EVGA.. All being within like 10-20 price range. Whats the difference between the cards, which would be the best for the buck?
