    Heroic sha-touch weapon vs normal t15 weapons

    Hi everyone,

    I have just gotten the heroic sha touch staff off Lei-shi yesterday and am wondering if I should upgrade it to 2/2 before 5.2. Assuming 5.2 coming out on tuesday, I will be going in with 2250 VP if i upgrade it to 2/2.

    Does anyone know if a fully upgraded heroic sha touch weapon will beat a normal mode t15 weapon? I look up on the stats and they seems to be very close together.

    thanks!

    Upgrade that sucker. Best way to spend your valor is to upgrade your current weapon if you have a heroic drop.

    I made a little spreadsheet for you. Unfortunately, I can't link it yet

    The MH is combined with Heroic Tornado Summon Censor. Reforging isnt taken into account but it should have very little affect.

    I'd consider the fact that there's a chance you don't get either of these weapons.

    I also Did the math for upgrading the neck(it's slightly smaller upgrade then shown.)

    The weapons are pretty big upgrades from Heroic upgraded Jin'ya...

    Athame = 48475.24 DPS
    Suen-Wo= 49980.71 DPS
    Jinya= 44131.83 DPS

    Destroyer's Battletags = 6386.72 DPS
    Amulet 7 curses = 5018.85 DPS

    I'll link the spreadsheet when I have more posts for you . If you have any questions about how to figure this our for yourself I can help.

    my reforged and sha gemed Jin'ya gave me more like 48k (for Affliction) last time i checked. im not sure why the difference is so big compared to your results.
    but you should definitly upgrade Jin'ya, weapons are too important. even if your raid is lucky and the weapons drop you shouldnt get it if not everyone in your already has a 509/517 weapon (dont know if thats the case).

    Always max your char for each raid. There is no guarantee you will see a weapon drop. My guild did boost runs with alts to gear up for MSV:HC yet I had 463 wand when we killed Will on HC.

    I got the loshan sword from normal tsulong upgraded with both the legendary gem and the socket.. I bet the normal weaons from the new raid will be better then? Even tho i got a 500 int gem in the sword?

    Barely.
    The HC 2/2 upgd Sha Touched weapons with a socket + the 500 int gem are nearly the same as the new normal mode weapons.

    There's a 4k dps difference using affliction stat weights.

    As for the math on Jinuya =
    Int -(1488+500) 1988 x 4.39 = 8727.32
    Mastery - 918 x 2.35 = 2157.3
    Haste - 1036 x 2.4 = 2486.4
    Spellpower - 8521 x 3.61 = 30760.81

    30760.81 + 2486.4 + 2157 + 8727.32
    Total = 44131.83

    This doesnt include the 320 mastery gem, but I believe you can put them into every weapon next patch.

    Kodt might also be including Jade Spirit on his, so if all of your calculations for each weapon lack JS then it would work out as you said. Also you listed mastery instead of crit.

    Jin'ya has 367 mastery and 551 crit after reforges and my stat weights are slightly different. and yes the upgrade isnt that big, but every little bit counts :<
