Question Throne of Thunder trash clearing tips

We're a 25man 3-day guild and raid Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday each week. I have been hearing a lot about the trash in ToT being harder than the earlier bosses. Can you offer some advice for handling the harder trash mobs in the instance?

    Trash before 1st Boss:
    - Tankdebuff, switch Tanks, easy trash

    Trash before 2nd Boss:
    - You kinda have to cross bridges with a nasty floor covered with wind. Try to tank them at the end/beginng of the bridge.
    - Don't let yourself be kicked of the bridge.
    - Really annoying are the banshees. The give a MS (and I think dmg) debuff to everybody in the raid. We couldn't avoid it, even with turning the banshee around or standing far away from it. BUT, our DK tank could shield him, so he would receive a lot less buffs. Didn't work with Disc Shields though.
    - There are kind of sleeping mobs floating around. Don't attack them. You just have to run around their blue circle on the floor.
    - There are snakes in the grass. Just AoE them down.

Whatever you do, pull one banshee at a time to a safe place where you can stand still and dps it.

Send a Tank off to collect a banshee and bring it back to the group. They body pull at set positions along the bridges, if you pull two you'll probably wipe.

The rest of the trash is uneventful.

Did those as well yesterday. How did you manage them?
On the first pull we just did a stun rotation, pop all cds (including bloodlust and healer cds), kill as many as we could before wiping.
That left 3-4 up for the second pull, we managed that barely without wiping.

There must be something we did wrong. Wasting all cooldowns and wiping in order to kill a trash pack seems kinda insane.
    (and cc wasnt possible either)

My god man; I had a lot of time on those as a Blood DK though. 700k DPS on both big packs; felt like a god.

Basically the 3 adds to the left cast only Short Range attacks and the 3 adds to the right cast only Long Range attacks. What we did was simply root the 3 left adds and pull the 3 right ones a bit back. Have the entire raid stay close to these Long Range adds (the right ones), so they dont hit you hard.
We kept the left group with Short Range attacks rooted until we kill the other 3, so their attacks didn't really do anything since noone was in range.

If you can't do some sort of root/cc on all of them I supose you can just have one tank take the Short Ranged adds and tank them away from the raid. He'll need a lot of healing tho.

Partially correct there is one on each side that does ranged inside of the melee, the best way to identify the ranged adds hands are not lit up. The melee adds are fire, tank ones with fire on the raid, pull the rest to the other side.

This is especially ridiculous the amount of time wasted for a guild with very good players but with also very good job and wife, so 3 nights a week of about 3 hours. We're are afraid we can't clear the raid in time just because of that... what a shame blizz".

By far the easiest way to pull the banshees is with a pet. Pets can be sent to a specific position on the ground, and are not affected by the winds. The banshees do not need to be attacked to pull, their AoE debuff is a constant pulse that they do even when they are not in combat - it will hit anyone that gets in range of it and begin combat.

Have everyone stand before the start of the wind, send a pet along the edge of the bridge until the banshee pulls, and pull it back. Kill banshee, repeat.

Sure, a tank is still capable of doing it, but it is as easy as clicking a spot on the ground for a pet class and watching it come to you.

These tips are pretty helpful. Keep them coming.
