Ive actually got the highway going through to the first casino, which i put right at the end of it, before you turn off onto another long road of a few casinos, ones near a bus depot/train station.. and the others somewhere in the middle, thats the one that isnt doing too well..

And i finally got attacked by a dino... yay... my city will be rubble soon

I do like the comedy by Maxis though "Hey, its my pet Bob, how'd he get so big?"

Its really amusing... but utterly annoying at the same time... i think they used comedy to soften the blow haha

Im currently upto 85k populationwith little or no traffic.. And my roads are practically a mess lol.

Also.. is it possible to entirely remove stuff from cities, like industrial zones? im trying to make my tourist/casino city, so id like to knock them down to little, or no industrial if possible.

yeah, think that you have to remove pollution with trees afterward (if there is any ground pollution) or your Sims will cry about germs all the time if you build over it.

I would say yes. In fact, you don't need commercial or industrial at all.

Does volunteering Recycling trucks to other cities bring the valuable goods back to your city I assume?

It is supposed to. Criminals, Garbage, Recyclables all get brought back to the city that is selling/loaning the service. If you loan out ambulances you probably bring back the sick people too. Its one of the reasons why when you loan/sell your police you have to be cautious and have enough space in your prisons. Otherwise you might have crime problems of your own if you don't have enough space to house all the ones you catch.

Also the test server is currently turning on some the features they turned off during launch. Global Achievements and Leader boards are currently enabled. This is signaling bringing everything back up to "full" speed.

Starting over in Aiko's region due to terrible street layouts. I haven't bulldozed yet and jacked taxes up to 20% on everyone to make some money before I wipe, but between taxes and traffic people are still moving in...

The number one region for Pollution on the test server has 78 million pollution an hour. Where is the polar ice cap melting disaster.

Actually all you need to do is keep them happy with parks and basic services. You don't actually need commercial and industrial for growth.

Agh I just messed up. I let my nuclear power plant start exploding and it released tons of radiation. Is there any way to lower it? >< Radiation is everywhere.

AI in this game is such a fail. Recyclable bin pickup suddenly went down by like 50% just because trucks instead of going to residential areas where houses stand full of recyclable garbage are going in circles around my mining and coal industry where there's no recyclable bins at all, then going back to Recycling Center. I didn't change any roads and such, so there's no excuse. And don't get me started on everyone using one street while there's empty streets on both sides 100 meters away. This was kinda funny at beginning but after so many hours it's just frustrating, nothing more. Before starting to ask money for tiny DLC's they need to address things like this.

edit - even better: two coal mines right next to each other. One producing 120 tons, other one 61,3. Both have 2 delivery trucks. Yet the one which is producing 61,3 tons, half of time stands closed because its full and trucks are not taking ore anywhere with plenty of space at depots etc. Argh, this game is driving me nuts sometimes.

Well, there we go, modders reverse engineered the code of the game to allow offline play.

    https://pay.reddit.com/r/Games/comme...online_forced/

Didn't take nearly as long as I expected.

    Also an interesting tidbit:
"Looking at the JS code posted on GitHub (not linked here since possible copyright infringement), it certainly looks like confirmed the forced disconnect is totally implemented in Javascript and is client sided. This is a really sloppy implementation of always online "DRM".

This is indicative that offline support was hastily removed late during the development cycle. Possible EA/Maxis debate/internal conflicts?"

About the building density - Have never seen a single building with a completely max out density bar yet. I mean, 3rd bar is reached/unlocked but not maxed out. Do they transform for more room when it is maxed out?
