Prevent Frigid Assault Stacks?

Can anyone explain to me how the druid tank in this video prevents the stacks from Frigid Assault being applied by Frost King Malakk?

1:10 this is the only time he kites at all
2:10 rest of these times he stands still and tanks frigid assault never gaining 15 stacks

Does he just have an insane amount of dodge / luck avoiding melee swings? or are they using something like a hop to prevent melee from landing? Can't notice anything.

you can have 100% uptime on SD which with our tier 14 4 piece gives a 50% to dodge + with reforging to crit and exp/hit you can hit 17-18% dodge (unbuffed) with around 500 ilvl which means 68% chance to dodge when frigid assault is up

I did the exact same thing when i tanked Malakk and its super convenient since you can have the other tank tanking Mar'li and the spawned sandlings on the opposite side of the arena.
