[Megaera] What order to kill the heads?

Trying to do some research for this and I'm wondering what head should always be killed first and if there's supposed to be a priority on what order they should be killed.

    Thanks in advance.

Depends what your raid is good/bad at handling.
Fire heads gives a player a debuff that will create a voidzone after a few secs (run out of raid with it to put it down, then back inside).
Ice heads gives makes a beam that follows a person (everyone moves and the one person kites the beam, like Kologarn's eye beams).
Poison heads throws a bomb at a player that will explode for raidwide AOE damage, less the further away you are.

Out of those, the most dangerous are the psn one, really. So I would do Fire heads > Ice heads > Psn heads as a general rule of thumb. Maybe you want to kill one poison head as one bomb isn't alot to deal with, but we just killed them psn-fire-ice-psn-fire-ice last night, got fairly cluttered.

We killed it yesterday using the following order: frost -> fire -> poison -> frost -> fire -> posion -> any, while using heroism during the last rampage to kill the seventh head asap.

If you have incredibly good healer you can shift poison forward. Frost is no problem for the healers but you may run out of space. Fire is just about focus healing the person with the DoT during removal of the frost clouds.

We found in 10 man, that frost is the worst so we went with an order of

    green -> red -> green -> red -> blue -> green -> whatever

So you basically have to survive one blue phase without lust and one at the very end with lust.

So if I understand you right, the raid is clustered all the time in your raid? Two green heads for at least four normal phases sound like tons of raid damage to me. And to heal this together with the rampage damage would be really hard if everyone stands spread out...
By far, frost is the easiest of the three effects... that's for us.

We did fire-ice-fire-ice-fire-ice-fire-ice-fire-ice on 25man and 1shot it with that tactic, The damage wasn't really high and aslong as people understand what to do with the fire/ice debuff everythign was fine. We never had any posion aoe in the whole fight.

We went with the following tactic (green/red was up at the start) : start with green then kill whatever other head was there with the previous one ...

Posion > Fire > Frost, cos frost is the most annoying to deal with in large amounts

We did the same thing on 25man.

Our healers didn't like the Poison Bombs very much so we went Blue > Red > Blue > Green > continue normally. 3 stacks of debuff on Venom dude is like 60% increased attack speed which really didn't seem all that tough to tank. 3 healed it this way.

Our kill was green -> red -> blue -> green -> red -> blue -> green

We tried plenty of times other options but that's the one that worked for us. Dealing with cinders at the end was always a nightmare.

I think it's safe to say that in 10 man, blue and green are much harder than red. Otherwise, the order really doesn't matter. It's just preference on how your guild wants to handle the heads. The attack speed doesn't even really seem like a huge issue (in normal mode). It's basically just moving frost out of group, moving fire to side and dispelling and avoiding green. Lust on the last head during the rampage to help heal through it and burn last head.

Red is hard because it can cause problems and deals a pretty good chunk of damage.

Blue is hard because your healers may have to kite and have less healers on tank.

Green is hard because it is a large amount of aoe damage that could line up with a bad hit on tank.

Otherwise it is pretty straight forward. Can't wait for the Horridon thread to come here and complain about this boss.

So it's 7 heads for the kill then?

    Yes 315mil hp / 45mil head = 7 total

Our kill was frost > poison > frost > poison > frost > fire > frost -- 25man that is.

We would of basically two shot if it someone hadn't run in early and got a frost beam on the raid at the last head.

we did red, blue, red, blue, green, red, blue .. basically just leaving green up as long as possible. It was spawned at the beginning.

we somehow one shot it while forgetting to lust, it gets a little silly at the end though.

Frost seems to be a bit more unforgiving on 10 vs 25 with the tank damage matching hc sha at the end, can't really spare the healers. Saw at least one running 3 heals + disc smiting and spirit shell on rampage. Still, we found the best situation with frost / venomous first to go Green-Red-Green-Red-Blue-Red-Green. Changed the last two, because the aoe damage with green 2nd to last instead of red proved to be a bit more of a challenge with keeping tanks up.

We ended up doing green-red-blue-green-red-blue, worked well for our 10 man group. 3 shot him.

We tried Frost->Red->Frost->Red->Green but our tank would end up getting killed at green because of healers constantly kiting shit

Switched to Frost->Red->Green->Repeat and it was much better, but our tanks would still end up gibbed when 2 healers had to kite

I guess we will try green->red->blue->repeat next time so that our healers dont have to kite that much

Its a pretty tough boss already not even half way through the instance...
