Looking to buy a new comp.

Looking to buy a new Comp. Last one I bought was from Cyberpower PC, and it was okay-ish. I was hoping someone would help me build one.


Basically, I'm looking for a computer that will run any and all current games flawlessly, and can handle some heavy video editing on AAE.


My budget is 2300 Dollars. If needed, I can even raise it up to 570 for any extra things I might need. But I know some people say that anything over 1K is overkill. But I guess there's a difference when wanting something that runs really smooth, than something that runs fine. :P

Over 1200 USD, and you will only get more bells and whistle, not necessarily more measurable performance. If you aren't that into overclocking in the future, it could potentially just be overspent either way.

What kind of games specifically, what resolution (1680*1050, 1080p, 1440p?), need a lot of storage? Want an SSD? Do you need to fit a specific form factor? ATX, the "standard" doesn't really have a whole lot of advantages over, say, mATX except for more expansion slots, and most people only have the one - the graphics card - anyway. Do you want the case to have flashy lighting or be virtually noiseless?

An i7, a HD7970/GTX 670, an SSD, 16-32GiB of RAM and a silent build would probably be just up your alley.

I'm looking for WoW, Diablo, and SC2, and well, basically the mainstream games. And I'm looking for 1080p. Looking to hook up multipulle screens... Say four?

Storage, yes. However, I do have three 1TB HD for a desktop. Ones I kept over the years. So just another one with all the standard stuff on it. Need a case and motherboard that can hold and plug at least two to three at a time.

Flashy lights isn't needed. But I can always go for a good seizure in the middle of the night to keep me feeling alive! So have at it! ^_^

The specific games you listed are more CPU than GPU-bound - although, this will change if you intend to game on three of those monitors at once.

Then I would suggest you cannibalise the storage you already have. It's an unnecessary additional cost. In my personal opinion.
