Wow, the thread is becoming some sort of binary hard core chat!
Here's an english to binary translator, enjoy lol.

Is not like I care, one report is not going to get me banned when I'm not doing such things. But that kind of makes me think the next.

If people really report someone just because he arrived first to a node/herb/etc or just because they don't like the way you move faster than they do, Game Masters might have millions of reports every single day.
If I personally had to attend so many reports where just 1 out of 100 are true, I simply wouldn't take my job any serious at all. Then think about all those freaking bots in BG's... there's no way we'll get ride of them as long as people keep wasting GM's time reporting players just because they can.

I just wanted to share my thoughts and know your opinion, this kind of affect us all.
Do you really think the only thing stopping Blizzard from fixing the bot problem is the amount of useless reports?

I've had people whisper me malicious things for all kinds of reasons...And claim I will be banned. I had hoped after 4 years they'd have just given it a rest, but there's a new kettle of fish every year, so I just accept it as the folly of playing in an MMO. It's been almost six...seven years now in this game and it's always thinking up creative ones.

    Botting...
    Paid to win/gear character...
Healing NPC's to stop the enemy killing them...
Owning a nice mount... (ERMERGERD I MUST HAVE HACKED TO GET IT. I mean obviously)

    People have serious anger issues.
I have eaten all the popcorn, I left none for anyone else.

I like to reply "I am Spartacus!" or "This is Sparta!" something along these lines, well until a GM contacts me and I speak normal to them :P

The majority of players have no clue as to how to identify a bot other than, "They got what I wanted first, jerks!"

Yeah fishing became some kind of walking into GM Isle yelling " BAN ME PLZ I'M HORNY 4 BANZZ!" You could be fishing and after 5 minutes you'd get like 4 whispers like "lol u bot". It made me stop fishing. Maybe it's just in full pop servers that we have way too many people.. but hell, it starts to get annoying.

Also playing the AH, you get called "ah bot" after 1 hour, it's like.. really??
    Lol yup!
Had one person message me saying I've been reported for soloing krakkonan that I fished up, erm pretty much any class can solo the boss

    Not gotten any "botwhispers"...

However, I do whisper people who I suspect are boting. I do this to make "sure" I'm not reporting a actual player, I mean, I don't want to waste some precious GM time.

If someone would ask me/tell me "enjoy your ban, bot!" then I'd kindly reply something witty botlike You'll not be suspended if you're not boting, even if people reports you.
    Well met!

I sometimes get called a bot (along with the rest of my BG). If people mention "all the goddamn bots" I just reply:

    BOT PROCEDURE INITIALISING

    PROCEEDING TO LOSE SHAMEFULLY.

I think Blizzard would neve get ride of bots, because 1 bot user > 1 player.

1 bot user can pay up to 10 accounts.. sick or not it's the truth.

When I observe ore/herb miners and their movement is very "robotic", I first message them asking if they are a bot. If I don't get a response within a few minutes I message them again asking if they are a bot. If after that there is no response, I message them about enjoying their ban. I have yet to get a response afterwards about them not being a bot. Or if they do respond it's non-sense.

it happened to me while gearing up using dungeon finder because you know a shadow priest in full greens/blues can surely compete with people decked in raid gear.. sure 35-40k dps is not all too impressive compared to the 70-80k they were pulling but no reason to get all grumpy just because my gear was shit.

I don't think it's as wide-spread as you make it out to be, OP.

We have about 10 million players. Amongst those, sure, there's a proportion of players who report. Not a whole lot, though. And through that portion, there is a small proportion of overzealous reporters. I don't think that would amount to millions of overzealous reports.

Also, within that 10 million, there's a sizeable amount of botters, another portion of multiboxers (which mean that several accounts could count as one, in reality), dumped RaF accounts created only for the sake of powerleveling, and those are just a few examples. So active players that report like that are of the minority. And even that is an understatement.

I wouldn't be worried. Worst case scenario, if a GM teleports you to check if you're a bot, talk to him/her and make a new friend.
It's time to level up and quit your newbie ways

Many people play with no sound, with chat addons and probably can't see the whispers while farming, because well, farming is not exactly fun and music makes it smooth.
