Logic tells me that proudmoore is going to get cut in half and divided amongst two servers. But has that ever happened before?

Oh yes, it happened back in vanilla to the server I'm currently on. They gave people a chance to transfer to the new server first though.

As long as the realms are CRZ afterwards those realm splits are nothing to be bothered about. I would say a realm merge is worse. With a split you atleast have a 100% chance to keep your character name and guild names
