    Triple puncture - Horridon 25hc

    My guild and I are currently progressing on 25hc horridon, and last night we noticed the burst capability the boss has on the tank in the very last phase, hits of 900k within a global weren't uncommon. Can the Triple puncture ability on heroic horridon be blocked? I noticed that not once did i parry or dodge it, and when i did use SB, i wasn't quite sure if i saw the appropriate reduction in incoming damage. Barrier works for sure.

    when triple puncture alligns with a melee hit that goes unmitigated, sure.

    Sadly it can't be blocked, you should always have a cooldown running for the last phase (personal or external) especially for the later triple punctures and use SBar to reduce the burst (-> on punctures, not spamming it), not the overall damage (which regulary can be healed up with all other incoming damage is from dire call, assuming that nobody likes to stand in double swipe for whatever reason).

    Ps: you can 'hand of protection' the debuff once a minute

    Well that's a kick in the balls. Apparently paladins shield of the righteous works just fine on it, but our block doesn't. Q_Q

    You just need to make sure you have a CD up for every time after he does the double swing lolcleave rubbish, as after he comes out of that his Triple Puncture and Melee swing with usually allign, just make sure you have block up for the melee reduction and *try* get a barrier in aswell, the damage is pretty retarded on this fight in fairness

    Yep, the boss is retarded, and to get some tanks reduce all physical damage, while having physical specials not being able blockable, brings good memories from DS.

    Anyways, it can be tanked, just not facerolled like our herpderp cousins. Plan your CDs with taking into account that for the first Punctures you will have ""low"" vengeance, while for the last ones your vengeance will be pretty high. That means, even if it's counterintuitive, that you need more your CDs in the "middle" punctures, for in the last putting up 500k shields without full rage for the combo will be more or less easy (there is time to gather some rage while he is sweeping).

    fucking did it! used Hand of protection to clear stacks from my fragile ass all the time and cycled cooldowns on punctures.
