If it were, the new expac would be out no later than March 2014.

There's going to be another raid tier. Their plans change all the time. The build up of Y'shaarj, which they told out FLAT OUT was "Definitely Dead." tells me they also changed their minds on that.

People asked about Y'shaarj after the whole old god reveal and they told us he was dead. 5.3 tells us he ISN'T Dead, just sleeping like the other old gods that were defeated.

i know some of you guys are kidding but im getting really sick of people suggesting argus because its incredibly stupid.

think about it, argus is the legions main base, the legion spans thousands of worlds and planets and some of the most powerful beings in the universe and typically most of the most powerful are there the majority of the time.

do we really not care at all about the story to require blizz to give us the shit ton of plot armor we would need to head straight to argus the first time a non space farring civilization attacks a globally dominating empire filled with super beings just so you can see a pretty city made of crystals and hang out with space goats?

Well what makes you think Xoroth is any easier to attack? Xoroth is probably their second most defended planet after Argus. They probably have portals all over the place. It's just like going to the living room.

There may/probably/hopefully be a 5.5, but 5.4 will be the last raid. It fits their cycle of raid/lore/raid/lore. If it ended at 5.4 and went straight to 6.0, it'd be raid/lore/raid/lore/raid//raid.

I can't believe they'd do that. They've been on the ball since the start of MoP, keeping the fresh content coming, and it's not like they're not also aware of the patch schedule. I know 5.4's supposed to be the last raid, but they must have something up their sleeve...

It's not close to ending though. Best estimates put the next expansion an entire year from now. MoP is still in it's adolescence. New expansion announcements have traditionally always felt 'too soon', but by the time release rolls around it won't feel too soon. Chances are, by the time it comes out you'll feel sick of killing Garrosh.

But to those who say late 2014/early 2015, I say no way. Blizz wants to make content come faster than it has previously, given the complaints about the length of time that ICC and Dragon Soul, respectively, were current content. I expect we won't see Siege of Orgrimmar last that long, especially considering the expanded Dev team that they're working with these days. I expect the next expansion 6 months after Siege goes live.

There is going to be two more expansions, that's for sure. There is still things we need to address before we fight the burning legion. First is Asherza, I can't spell, but that's what my thoughts are going to be be for the next expansion. Than the last will be the fight against the burning legion, and each leveling zone will be a raid on each of their planets. But they HAVE said that it's going to be 5.5 raid with 5.6 being a cap closer to the next expansion.

No, i think the Trademark will be registered in about a Month. I hope that the name isn't to obvious about what is coming. I really liked the speculations back when Cata was registered. A lot of people expect to see a legion addon, but I kinda think it might be something diffrent.

Usually a couple of months before blizzcon people have already found a Registered Expansion name for the next expansion.

We new Cata was gonna be Cata way before they even announced it.. and same with MoP when they tried saying it was not the next expansion and yada yada.

So far I've heard no news on what the next expansion could be named o-o.
Or has it? and Im totally missing out o-o

My guess would be the expansion has been copyright, already. Some Joe Schmoe at some dummy company probably already registered the name for Blizz a good while back.

Maybe they're just keeping it better hidden now.
That said, to people feeling MoP is ending too fast, remember, the next expansion will only come next year even with the year and a half (maybe they'll push it before Easter or something, people do have a vacation then and especially in the western countries presents are bought).

It does a bit, frankly I feel their new faster turnaround on content is making the game move too fast (I even felt that back in Cata).

But remember, we knew about MoP's title before DS even launched. So there was a long time between that and the actual end of the expansion. It's just that as soon as the playerbase gets a whiff of the next expansion suddenly the current one is dead to them!

You think so? Thats just the case when the expac name is obvious. I remember all thos speculations back when Cata was registered. Nobody really knew what it was.

That's what I am betting on. I am very sure we'll see some sort of legion invasion during SOO and the horde/alliance will then take the battle to the burning legion head on and once again venture into outland (Quest updates to place it more in line) with more zones being added in Outland.

Because the very last expansion HAS to be in Azeroth, it just has to be.
