Huh, I wonder why I've not learned the word for light!
I've learned the word for bright(Akarui) and darkness (Kurai) but not light

Also I'm almost positive you spelled it wrong as Raito sounds about as close to light as the Japanese can get with their alphabet so I'd assume it's written in Katakana and not Hirgana xD

It wouldn't recognize that as Japanese or English and just gave you the Hirigana letters for Raito since that's the main alphabet.
Typing light into google translate gives me the Kanji for it 光 and then the Katakana for it is below. ライト
Hit the voice button thing on that, it really does just sound like a Japanese person saying light xD
