It's not that they can bite me, it's that they're fucking creepy.
I ended up smacking the one that was trapped on my desk with a shoe (fucking hell that thing wouldn't stop moving). I'll do the same with the one that's on my floor but it keeps flying into the base of the glass (upwards), so I can't get an opportunity to lift and smack.

It's the weirdest thing. I'm utterly terrified of spiders, but fine with daddy long legs, which are in essence flying spiders. Just with 2 less legs and an inability to make cobwebs. Plus they don't run. Urgh... spiders. I'd come save you Ely, but you're just too far away.
I'd say just slip a coaster or a piece of paper underneath and then throw them outside. Don't have a light source directly behind you though. They'll come flying back towards you.
