What's the speed difference between RAID 0 and RAID 5 though?

Not really sure if I need parity though, it's for a computer which will be turned off at the end of the day and not a server.

Probably slightly slower read/write times but I doubt itd be noticeable. The upside is that if one of the HDDs goes boom you can just swap it out no data lost!

But if it is just for a computer (thats not holding sensitive data) and not a server you dont have to. Itd just be cool :P
