quick survey regrding your toons name and why!!

3. It basically comes down to just a random name that I liked the sound of. There was no relation to the race or class I picked.
4. Barely. It's no special name. It enables RP as it's not immersion-breaking. There was a shortly popular song whose artist was often wrongly named Samin but actually is called Samim. People asked if my name was related sometimes but as barely anyone remembers the song that doesn't really happen anymore (I like the song, but no relation)
5. Some details on question 3: Originally my Tiefling rogue in Neverwinter Nights 2. Which I came up from a variation of a random ferret familiar name in the same game (Tamin) and I liked the sound of the name so I stuck with it for much things afterward, especially RPGs because it doesn't break the immersion (for a wide spectrum of different settings too). Except for my main and my (now abondoned) first character, I named all my other numerous characters according to their race, class and/or general idea behind the character (for the immersion and all). Choosing a character name was often >50% of character creation time.

3. I began a trend of choosing German words for my character's names, and after cruising for a bit, found that Schrei means scream which was fitting for a priest.
4. I've had a few people ask me about German stuff since they recognized the name, and countless people mispronounce it, but otherwise no.
5. Names have to fit the feel of the character, and in a way help define them in my head. For example, my warlock is named Eis, and I imagine her personality to be very cold and cruel, truly a warlock type. And with my priest, a scream can be a vicious thing or a cry for help, sort of embodying the duality of her holy/shadow. Idk. JUST THOUGHTS.

Class: Pandaren Mage (formerly Goblin Mage (Cata), started as Undead Mage)
Reason for the name: I've ended up naming all my toons after cards in Yu-Gi-Oh. Trishula is a three headed Ice Dragon.
Affect my gameplay: No not really, other than since the name is a feminine one, people could misinterpret it.
Anything else: I try to find card names that fit the class. Like my Shaman named Raioh which means Thunder King. My monk named Daisojo, which is also a monk card from Yu-Gi-Oh. Or my Death Knight named Tragoedia. (I wanted it to be Gorz, but I couldn't D: )

3: Døde means *Died* in norwegian, it fits both the undead and the death knight aspects.
4: Nope, except causing problems for non-norwegians inviting my character
5: I also like the name since its short and easy to pronounce on mumble since everyone in the guild is norwegian.
