Why isn't there gathering nodes on the Isle?

Does anyone happen to know why Blizz didn't put any gathering nodes (e.g. herbs & ore) aside from fish pools, on the Isle of Thunder? Doesn't make a lot of sense seeing as how that where the majority of out time is spent currently when at lvl cap.

Was it just an oversight while trying to get the content out to the players? Is there a specific reason they didn't include them such as to give players a reason to leave to reduce congestion? What do you think?

If Blizz would put in the game a zones worth of extra gathering nodes midway of the expansion , that would have an influence in the economy.

More people would end up with extra herbs/ores and the price for them would decrease.

    And that is bad why?
You're getting exactly what you deserve.

Because there are dailies that award you with way too much gold.

    Tol Barad sucked hard

the ground mount is a big handicap and having to spawn 3-4x times more nodes compared to Pandaria that people won't gather anyway would have been an immense resource waste (for both client and server)

The Isle of Thunder isn't that big to require 3-4x more nodes than is already being spawn in the MOP zones. As far as resources, how much could it possibly weight on them?, the nodes at launch in MoP alone were spawning 50% more! It can't possible put more of a load on servers than that did. Isle of Thunder is the size of maybe one MoP zone.

I think it's a good choice of blizzard to take them out. Imagine them having put them in; and when you're busy with dailies and shit you just see 10-20 bots running around / glitching around to go and farm stuff.

Seriously, I am happy to see a lively zone like IoT instead of a regular zone, it adds to the immersion.

It would take away from their philosophy of "give people reasons to go out in the world" because then you would have oodles of folks (or bots) running all over the isle just for herb/ore nodes while waiting for rares to spawn.

It's a shame really. IQD was brilliant for mining back in BC, with (I think) 7 adamantite veins with 1-2 spawn points. A full circuit usually yielded a stack or or two of adamantite, and by the time you had done it, the first vein was spawning again. And then you had the odd rare vein pop occasionally.

i mean the distance between each node must be 3-4x lower, resulting in 3-4x more nodes on average for the same minimap quadrant to have a barely relevant farming, it's going to lower the FPS by 5-10% for people with high distance settings
