Question Why did Horde and Alliance stop conquering Pandaria?

At the beggining Horde (especially Garrosh) and Alliance wanted to conquer whole Pandaria for their own. So why did they stop? Why in 5.3 we are going back to Azeroth instead of seeing how war on Pandaria evolves? Horde and Alliance forces should go first to Valley of the Four winds and then to all other zones, trying to conquer them. I just can't understand why war on Pandaria is only shown in Krasarang Wilds.

    Did they even start?
I expected to see nothing but panda war victims and slaves but no nothing off that at all.

they aren't conquering it... well maybe the horde are. The alliance was helping out to find allies to block the horde's interests.

i think the main reason Which largely involves tactic is they don't want a second front for both the Alliance and the Horde From the Shado-pan and the Golden lotus ( once they reach the Vale)

    The rebellion happened.

They would first need to defeat each other in Krasarang, which will probably never happen. If lets say the Horde moves on conquering Pandaria while the Alliance is still there, all the pandaren of Pandaria would side with the Alliance and fight them back.

Would've been interesting to see Pandaria getting conquered, might still happen in patch 5.4.

    1) The Alliance doesnt want to conquer Pandaria, the Horde does. The Alliance were there to find Anduin. Now they are there to protect it and stop the Horde.
    2) The Horde does continue to kinda do what they want with Pandaria. What with Garrosh strip mining the Vale in 5.3 in search of power
    3) The Horde (Garrosh) is more interested in gathering power to smoosh the Alliance than gathering supplies right now
    4) The Horde (real Horde) is more interested in smooshing Garrosh now.

Everybody gets distracted at times. There are bigger fish to fry now than Pandaria.

Neither side expected indigenous populations. This was more a consideration of the Alliance than the Horde, however.

Pretty much this. Conquering Pandaria was Garrosh's agenda, and he has some major problems back home to deal with now.

The Alliance didn't go there to conquer it anyway.

Because there will always be a demon invasion, old god, arena tournament, lich king, crazy elementals, crazy dragon, more old gods, resurrected kings and crazy warchiefs that is more urgent than the war.

The Alliance didn't want to conquer it at all, they wanted back their prince, later to defend it.
The Horde agents (adventurers - us) went there to explore the land for Garrosh, but later turned against him (5.1, 5.3, etc). Garrosh still wants to conquer Pandaria, he just loses soldiers.

We stopped "conquering" Pandaria because we are basically done. The Thunder King, Grand Empress Shek'zeer and most of the Sha are dead. What is there left to conquer? In 5.3 Garrosh is trying to take control of the remaining power in Pandaria and the Alliance is trying to stop him. Other then that Pandaria is basically done lorewise unless the old god buried underneath is ressurected somehow.

The Alliance only moved in to stop Garrosh. Now with the rebellion starting, Garrosh will be pulling his forces home to put down the trolls. With Garrosh pulling back, the Alliance has no reason to keep a large force on Pandaria.

The Shado-Pan wants everyone out of Pandaria, not just Horde.

The Alliance were never there to conquer. They were there to a: recover Anduin and b: to stop the Horde.

It could be argued they did.

The ship containing Prince Anduin ran into Pandaria.

The Alliance storyline is about entering the mysterious continent to retrieve the Prince of Stormwind.

Once the Horde discovers the continent, they try and take it.

The Alliance then shifts their purpose from retrieval to "containment" and assist the natives in keeping the Horde at bay, while respecting the indigenous citizens.

The Horde set up a base of operations, but after the failure with the Crystal Bell, they are quickly over taken by the Alliance, the natives of Pandaria, and the Horde players working on behalf of Wrathion. This effectively stops Garrosh's invasion of Pandaria.
