MS/OS Destro/Affli Stats

Hey Naggers,

HM Tortos is forcing the return of affliction pre meta gem, and currently i'm destro with everything to crit. So now i'm just wondering in order to have Destro Ms but still have a competent Os in affliction, would i then work everything to haste to say the 9k break point?

iLevel is 520 with 2pc. I have rep and chayes trinket and as stated no meta and i am GoSup. Also while i'm here, would troll currently the best racial to xfer into? Being the haste buff and the 5% to damage as well.

Just run desto gosac mastery build. Which is best anyway. And you can use the same stats for aff.

Pretty much this. I run with and it switches over quite nicely. Mastery > Haste=Crit.

Alright ill run that this week, and would that be gemming int/mast or straight int for red sockets. If you happen to have stat weights handy it would help alot.

Im going Int-Mastery in red, full mastery in yellow, int-hit in blue. Reforge all to mastery.

Why not mastery/hit in blues? Would make more sense.

On a similar note, expertise/mastery in reds is better than int-mastery as long as you can reforge out of enough 2ndary stats to not be above the hit cap.

If you have a reforge mount (or someone in your raid does), you could install Reforge Saver addon and make profiles for both specs. It costs some gold when you reforge but you don't have to worry about if your secondaries aren't optimal for destro/affli.

I used to regem and reforge at least two full times back and forth each week because we needed the slows for certain fights or affliction would pull much better numbers than destro and I was getting so tired of it. I needed to find a good middle ground and there really wasn't any until you get the new Meta gem. At that point it is very viable to just stack the crap out of haste 12k+ and do the rest into mastery. I thougght that my numbers would sink on fights like Horridon and Primordius but I was dead wrong.

My single target and aoe is still strong in gearing/gemming this way.
