Question Do you like pillar humping in pvp?

Seen a few people comment on this from time to time and it made me curious how people feel about it, so I thought I'd make a poll.

(be patient a poll will be added, only made one so far and don't remember how)

Hate it, but I still do it.
Its not fun/engaging/skilful gameplay but I'll do whatever it takes to stop that frost mage from shattering me

I hate it, and I also hate having to do it. (too bad its a necessity)

As you may have guessed I hate arenas and prefer a god rbg instead.

I think it is funny, because I know it pisses people off so much because I am so good at humping.

That sounded better in my head...

i hate it, its really lame and cheap, but its a viable tactic and necessary in pvp. one of the things that puts me off high rated arena, you don't get much of it at low-mid rating, just the ocasional game where its impossible to do anything because the other team just has a resto druid running around a pillar.

It only really bothers me when I'm doing 2's and kill off one of the other dudes and then the last one decides to be a jackass and hump all day.

I dont mind it, I think it should be in the game, I think it has just gotten too strong with all the buffs to healer mobility and CC.

we had a druid do that once, just shifting out of every snare running around spamming his instants for like 10mins. we were both casters so it was really hard to get more than a few spells off.

I don't mind it. I'd take more pillar humping over more CC spam any day.

I think it belongs in the game, if it didn't exist then PvP would just be all about who hits the hardest. Being good at pillar humping just adds another dimension, both offensively and defensively, if you don't know how to catch someone running in circles you're going to be in trouble, and if you're good at running in circles you'll create a lot of extra breathing room.

I love humping lots of things.

    Pillars? Not so much.
We're all newbs, some are just more newbier than others.

Just a burned out hardcore raider turned casual.
I'm tired. So very tired. Can I just lay my head on your lap and fall asleep?

    Thanks for your answers folks.

I must admit I expected more to vote that they didn't like it even though a decent amount of people did.

Personally I don't care to much for it, I think hiding to recover is fine but runing around and around a pillar is some of the wierdest game play I have seen.

I just had a rshammy piss me off 1v1 doing exactly that. I was just capping w 2s (as was he I imagine) so normally I would have left. But he just pissed me off so much that I stayed and killed the *** the 3rd time my cds aligned.
Retarded how nonsensitive ice-frost trap/knockbacks are in those situations, even if he walks DIRECTLY over -> no trigger.

Adds a lot to the gameplay. Adds a skillcap and means that there is even more team coordination.

Would you rather Arena and RBGs were played on completely flat maps with no collidable scenery? It'd make healers awful, promote stupid stuff like triple DPS and in general increase the amount of CC that healers would eat. LoS is amazing for this game - if you voted no, imagine what it'd be like without it.

Yes for battlegrounds, at least. Holding the Hot Gates (ala 300) is an arena with very little scenery. The scene at the end of 300 where there's a massive army and nothing but hills is what BGs should be (with an addition of objectives).

Warsong Gulch is a very silly BG: neither faction would allow the other to build a huge base like that in close proximity. And so on.

Yes, but WoW needs a severe decrease in the amount of CC everyone has.

I agree that LoS is amazing for the game, but it's far too exploitable in its current standard. I'm levelling a priest and could survive against a mage and a druid by pillar humping the Horde Berserking hut pillars, so much so they just ran away.

Pillar = skill IMO. This goes mostly for arenas thought, BG's are supposed to be more open.
