    10H Iron Qon tips?

Hi guys. We are about to attempt 10H Iron Qon this Friday. As usual I'm trying to get as much information as possible before raid

I've watched Fatboss guide (BTW, best wishes to them...). So my main question is how do you guys normally deal with first quilen? In Fatboss they recommend having range soak 2 stacks, then melee soak the rest 7-8. But they also mentioned normal 3 group strat works too but may have a bit trouble. Our melee group is: [blood dwarf dk, frost dk, ret pally, MW monk]. So yea just wanna ask how you guys do it and have a bit idea about which strat to choose for us.

And if there's any other tips for the fight I appreciate too

    Thank you!

we do the two in ranged, rest in melee with almost the same set up, just chain your damage reduction cooldowns at the end. and spread otu after the first unleashed flames sub 35-38%. we have a very similar set up.

We just rotate through 3 groups; 2 stacks each.

We do the same except we have the melee group take 3. Start with ranged on one side. Take 2. Then the melee stack takes 3. The the ranged on the other side take 2. By then Group 1's stacks have cleared. It's a bit more to organize but definitely smooths out the damage and provides you with a little margin for error if a group accidentally takes another stack (It shouldn't happen but for us it does sometimes cause of a derpy tank linking the split melee).

We had melee take 2, ranged take 2 then melee take the rest with the tanks rotating in and out (we only have 2 melee and 2 tank it). Also another tip on phase 1, we have 6 ranged, 3 healers 3 dps, and split up into 3 groups of 2 for the lightning debuff to minimize the spread of arching lightning. How we do it is spread out into your groups, when arcing lightning goes off those 2 people do not stack up, wait for the staff to be thrown, then the remaining 4 group up and take 2 stacks.

We keep the same group of 2 people all the way up until the end phase.

The stacks alone are pretty easy and won't lead to deaths.

The real killer is the spear throw on a group thats stacked. You need to move pre-emptively imo to avoid it, this means watching boss timers like a hawk and making sure you all move the same way.

One thing to note is that you can be on the opposite side of a line as your group and still trigger the bolt. Helps out a lot when you're separated.

Stack all ranged till lightning storm then melees stack, close to the tank. Rotate cds untill u get rid of the dog. Stop soaking around 35% on 10% energy of the boss, and make sure u dont get pushed into a group from a tornado, or get split by it.
It is really simple, you shouldnt have any issues here. Have ur MW monk use his clone ability to get out of wind storm on 2nd dog, and revival after hes out so he will top every1 inside the storm, if u have lock its even gona be easier.
    GL on the loot!!!

groups of 3 people, soak 3 then spread and switch(this will be in sync with the spear, so just switch the groups when the spear has landed). Use defensive cooldowns, you won't need them before the last phase anyway.

3 groups taking 2 stacks each was easy enough to manage for us. For the ranged camps, we just had someone announce which direction to move about 5s before the next spear so the group wouldn't be split up.

We 2 tank, 3 healed it and while some here say that the dps requirement is a joke I'd disagree. There's 2 important checks: push the 2nd dog before you have a 2nd windstorm. Kill all 3 dogs before the boss starts doing Fist Smash. The second check can be rather tough to meet with two tanks.

Thank you all! Looks like we might try range soak 2 then melee soak the rest. Our melees all have good cds for that.

We are at advantage on this because we can one tank it. One more dps.
