I wouldn't say it died, took a small dip IMO (strictly storywise) sure, I'm sure like a phoenix from the ashes it will be great again.

Also bare in mind there are tons of people that love MoP.

WOTLK: Save the world from being overrun with legions of the dead.
Cataclysm: Save the world from Deathwing. He flies around and one-shots adventurers. And he does nothing else. Clearly he must be stopped, before his minor annoyance becomes ... a more widespread minor annoyance.
