Is it possible to make atleast 10k/hour with JC, Alchemy, Mining & Herbalism?

I currently have only one level 90 character, a druid with Mining and Herbalism. I'm leveling a warlock now, he is 72 atm, and I'm planning to get her only to level 80 to max out Jewelcrafting and Alchemy.

Anyways, my question is: is it possible to make more than 10k gold per hour with the professions that I have? (JC, Alch, Mining, Herb)

I'm sure it's possible on some servers. We don't however know your server economy so can't really answer that for you. You need to get to know your own market, what the prices are like, supply/demand, how much competition there is and so on to work that out.

On most however the shuffle is nowhere near as effective as it used to be (most isn't all though - there's some server's where it's still good), and that took time to actually process mats if you weren't using a second account. Generally JC is a fairly fast moving market, there's decent competition and you will be undercut quickly when you post. If your plan is to just post up cuts once a day and leave them you;re unlikely to see 10k out of it.

it's possible, i made 190k (net profit) in the last 7 days with roughly 14 hours of effort

but it's not possible on every server and you can't do it all day long (limited supply/demand)

Not sure how much gold per hour I make with it but it's more than enough as I made 160k profit last week on the shuffle (no farming at all, just getting the ore from AH and farmers). All that's needed is jc + transmute speced alchemist. To speed it up I didn't bothered to disenchant anything, just vendored all those greens for 9g each, sold tiger opals for roughly 200g per stack and serpent's eyes for similar amounts. Used lots of golden lotus to get dem procs on blues, then metagems, and cutted sunstones in bulk to get perfect procs. Lapis lazulis, i usually just leave one cut afk and vendor it all, perfects included, cos they sell very slowly and for minimal amounts. I still miss loads of cuts on green, purple and orange gems which can unlock higher profit potential in near future.

The highest raw farming I could do is around 8-10k per hour, and that is deepholm cloth grindage with warlock, effectively ignoring any competition (because this spot is very overcrowded). Gathered enough mats to make 17 bags (6800g), 1400g in vendored & looted, 500 in volatiles, occasional 250 in rare enchanting pattern.

Depends on server, but from what you sound like I would say no. You would need some freak circumstances, but ofc it depends on how many sales you could make. It would be even harder to keep this rate up consistently. You would also need to know what you are doing.
    You have three problems.
    1. level of supply of raw materials. If you arent farming yourself then you will need a constant supply of mats.
    2. level of demand. Depends on server. How many sales per hour will you need? You dont have all/ any cuts yet.
    3. nature of competition. If its bog standard JC then you will be undercut on a regular basis.

It is possible, but it would require you to be very well organised and a lot of effort.

Why do you need to make so much money OP? Are you prepared to put effort in?

    Yes. You can make lots.

Personally, I would never tag any method(s) a XXXXXg per hour. Anyone that does is probably lying and can't duplicate the success. What may work on one server may not work on another server. Farming items and saying XXXXg per hour in value items before they are even sold is also very misleading. Yes, of value, but you still have to spend the time to sell the items. When a human variable is in place you cannot control the when and how many will be sold. Once day it may be 1000 gems sold in an hour another maybe 100 gems. So my advice is take any claim of xxxxg an hour with a grain of salt.

It really all depends on your server, but JC is almost always going to do relatively well providing you put the time/effort into watching your auctions. It may not bring 10k an hour, but it's one of the better professions for bringing in cash imo

According to the "Big boys in making gold" (stormspire site) JC is the most profitable profession of all. There are naturally some exceptions of course depending on server economy.

I would agree, whicch is why knowing your server and figuring out what works will maximise profits. I do sometimes say you can make x gold an hour, but its quite conservative and nearly always based on farming. It sets a rough benchmark. Ore is just a commodity at the current time I can sell as much as can be farmed and I know how much I would expect to farm per hour given the time of day etc. It works out as pretty standard. That is how on a few occasions you cna use it as a rough rule of thumb guide.

More specialised items then its a bit silly as i respond differently based on where he market is at, at any given time.

I make around 40k gold/hour...not with JC but BS(JC numbers are way more complex).

    And it didnt mean s***t.

I spent 5 minutes a day buying/crafting/posting(TSM ofc) so around 40 minutes a week(counting the AH posting) and bean counter puts me on a average of 25k a week. Its not a ton but its just one market and if you focus on the time spent then ...whoops! there you go 40K g/h.

    Where the trick?

Trick 1.Its not scalable.I couldnt sell more than I do so its not 40k g/h as "I spent 10 hour I earn 400K".
Trick 2.Got little to none competence at all.For 70% pieces Im the only seller so I can sell a helm for 1200g when the mat cost are 50g.

Honestly.Dont focus on gold/hour...theres always a ton of tricks behind those wonderful numbers you see around the interwebs.

It is easily profitable if you do your homework and only work the profitable routes. Also it depends greatly on your servers economy. Gathering professions are one of the worst for gold per hour (GPH) invested. JC is only good if you have a large selection of cuts, if you don't have many then it's lower down the totem pole for profitability.

Alch can make you thousands real quick if your either xmute specced (meta gems/living steel/maybe rare gems pending golden lotus prices) or elixer specced (pending golden lotus/herb prices) as you can proc 1-4 extra of whatever your making related to that spec roughly 20% of the time. It only really works in bulk and if your on a dead server then flasks will be a slow mover, on a busy server you will be hard pressed to keep 100 of each flask in stock during raid times for example.

As you stand now, your going to be lucky to make 2-3k per hour gathering on your druid (pending server economy and competition gathering). However I would advise not to waste time farming and to level your lock to 90. it will take you a few days to do, but will pay off big time. If you need gold to level up your professions then sure go and herb, but realize that your not making much at all.

Also if you go and mine for 2 hours, then spend 1 hour breaking down all you have gathered via JC and then cutting gems, you have spent THREE hours on that project, NOT 1 hour, as many say, doing your JC stuff and saying 'oh I made 8k in an hour of prospecting and cutting'. If you bought the ore then yes you can say that, however you would of spent 2 hours gathering and 1 hour crafting making that 8k you 'earned' from prospecting the ore roughly 2.6k GPH. Not good at all. Infact not worth the effort, you can make more doing old raid runs getting pets to sell.

My advice to you aside from getting your warlock to 90 and maxing their professions is to make a 'nest egg' of roughly 10,000 gold via gathering and selling EVERYTHING. You need gold to make more gold and 10k is enough to let you have stuff on the AH and able to buy more stuff should it be available for cheap. Once you have some cuts and your alch up, stop gathering, spend 30-60 mins a day doing your alch/JC stuff and the rest of your time having fun, unless you find gathering fun or relaxing (I like to do gathering/fishing after a long bad day at work to relax, not to make gold for example).

    Hope this helps a little.

Don't stop your lock at 80, level it to at least 85 and go to Pandaria, you need the meta gems recipes which drop from mobs.
About 10k/hour...it's hard, not impossible. but only if you're on a big realm, with lots of buyers and you babysit your auctions.
