GW1 Hall of Monuments titles

Does anyone know how this works? Do I buy GW1 and get points or something? How do I link them to my GW2 character?

You buy GW1 and then you have to play GW1 and achieve/acquire certain things in the game to acquire HoM points. I think you link them from your GW2 account page.

It's not really something you can do quickly when you're just being introduced into the game unless you have a rich friend. I went in as a noobie folowing online guides and it took me about 360 hours /played.
