We need some sexy cool looking badass villain in the game.

What is with the favoritism for men? Women are either being ignored or just side characters. I got bored raiding giant scaly abnormal looking men.
well, at the end of one such raid IN THIS EXPANSION you got to kill a giant FEMALE bug, and if I'm not mistaken you got to kill two abnormal looking females in ToT. so what the fuck are you going on about?

Blizzard tends to have more men than women in WoW in all aspects, even NPC races. There are no visibly female Earthen, Mechagnomes, Tol'vir, Hozen, Jinyu, Yaungol, Taunka (they reused the female Tauren for that), Mogu (aside from the Consorts), etc, etc, etc. And in some cases they make it fit into lore. The Mogu have only three named females, the Consorts (who seem to be made by Lei Shen) and Empress Monara who Lei Shen seemed to overthrow. The female dwarves in lore sometimes have beards, due to the fact that Earthen seemed to have no gender (which, in essence, makes dwarf females a byproduct of the Old Gods' Curse of Flesh..?).

As far as instance bosses, there are fewer females. This is a fact. But they haven't excluded them completely. In fact, there were quite a few in the dungeons in MoP, including a couple mantid with female voices, Lillian Voss, the first boss (the Lich) in Scholomance, the priestess of Yu'lon, etc. Could they add more? Yes. Would it be better or worse one way or another if a person is female or male? Depends. Not in my opinion. I see characters as characters. Their personality should have no reflection on their gender at all, unless there is a reason WHY they are the gender they are. It made sense for Shek'zeer to be a female since insects tend to have queens which rule the entire colony and produce progeny, for instance. But overall, someone can love to fight, have a deep reverence for nature, and collect trinkets from their kills. You tell me, is that a male or female? Doesn't matter.

It should be noted that women are important in WoW as well. There are entire societies where women play a more important role. The villages of Sifreldar and Brunnhildar in Storm Peaks are entirely women that look down upon men. In the Night Elven culture, the women are warriors, spies, and priestesses, while men tend to become druids (more often than not). In High Elf/Blood Elf culture the most famous people are the Windrunner sisters, who even had brothers that we know nearly nothing about. We haven't seen any males of the Succubi and Shivarra at all. Not to mention very important characters like Jaina, Tyrande, Azshara, Vashj, Therazane, Theradras, Moira, Aysa, Zaela, Aggra, etc.

It is unfortunate that some people feel a woman has to be sexy in order to be a valid character. Personally, I felt Shek'zeer and Therazane were a couple of the most feared and respectable leaders. I wouldn't consider either of them culturally "sexy"...though I'm sure there are those that feel so. In short, it doesn't matter if a character itself is male or female unless they MAKE it matter. But, I wish there were more females in the world so NPC races seemed more "realistic".
3 hints to surviving MMO-C forums:
1.) If you have an opinion, someone will say that it is wrong
2.) If you have a source, there will be people who refuse to believe it
3.) If you use logic, it will be largely ignored
btw: Spires of Arak = Arakkoa.

Why didn't they made the final boss some badass sexy beautiful female? What is with all this steroid overdose men as raid bosses?
I really, highly suggest you stop opening your mouth to speak. I'm not even going to touch upon the ridiculous amount of sexism.

I get that the demographic is mostly male, but I wouldn't mind seeing more bad-ass female characters. Not physically attractive, not sexy, just bad-ass.

I'm not seeing any endemic problem here:

Siege of Org: Sun Tenderheart/Zaela/one of the Dark Shamans = females represent

Throne of Thunder: 6 males, 4 females, not a bad ratio

Terrace of the Endless Spring: 4 males, 1 female, still not that terrible

Heart of Fear: 4 males, 1 female, Mantid society imitates the real world Queen/male structure where there is only one female in the hive

Mogu'shan Vaults: Feng, Gara'jal and Spirit Kings are all male, rest can't be counted as having genders

Dragon Soul: Hagara vs. Ultrax, Deathwing and Warmaster

    Firelands: Beth'tilac/Alysrazor vs. Rag/Staghlem/Baleroc/Shannox

Bastion of Twilight: Valiona/Sinestra vs. Rest

    Blackwing Descent: Ony vs. Atramedes/Maloriak/Nef

Throne of the Four Winds: Sausage fest

Icecrown: Lady Deathwhisper/Sindragosa/Valithiria/Blood Queen vs Arthas/Putricide/Princes/Suarfang

ToC: Valkyrs/Female faction champs vs rest

    Ulduar: Auriaya/Freya vs. rest

    Naxx: CBF anymore

    TL;DR: Nobody cares
