Agree with what you say, and don't forget Brawler's guild, world bosses, rare npc's, and achievements like Insane and Stormbreaker which are fun and challenging too. The game is fun, not hard, and still a challenge at end game. And even if it doesn't seem too challenging, the point is, it is fun and that is what a game should be.
I have no problems with friends. I'm in a great guild, we just moved from Bloodhoof-US to Stormrage-US. We also went from 10-25 man. If I need a group for something I ask in guild chat.
Nope I don't. I wasn't one to go around looking at others gear. I was one to go get it myself. I don't care who looks like what. I play this game to have fun, not to try and rub something in someones face that I don't even know.
The game/raiding was never hard, just time consuming get over it. Nowasays it is dumbed down and you don't have to farm as much as in the early days but that doesn't mean that raiding was "hard". You cannot kill a boss with "skill" since you need certain equip for the tank to survive or have enough dps to kill the boss in time and you cannot increase your item stats with "skill" get over it. Also this game is so laughable "easy" if you can even use the term for it. It's only a few button presses. In the past the tanking was at least not as braindead as nowadays since you had not aggro the entire fight with 1 attack and it's impossible for the damage classes to pull aggro nowadys which is kinda pathetic and the taunt abilitys have high range and bosses are not immune to it and each tanking class does so much aoe threat that it's unlikely for anyone to pull aggro as I just said. Get over it, the game was never "hard". Boss mechanics were a joke and are still a joke. It's just stats and stats is gear and gear is time.
Indeed. There's no way to stand out from the crowd anymore unless you have the Challenge Mode set. Hopefully Blizzard will solve this problem in the future then I personally won't care about LFR since people will have an incentive to aim higher.
If things are so easy for you then why are you complaining about TBC? Meeting new people wasn't that hard unless you were on a dead server or one of those gigantic servers where no one knows each other but then you wouldn't be waiting long for groups especially if you were friendly and good. Servers knew who the undesirable players were.
My point is people had something to strive for back then. Now they have virtually nothing to strive for and it has destroyed the game.

Biggest problem of WoW in my opinion?
Unbalanced servers and factions, and the lack of actions against this by Blizzard until 5.4
Ive had a lot of friends and guildies quit over our faction being stomped 5 to 1 on population. Or because the server is dead.
And i think this started with Wintergrap and transfers in WotLK.
There were factions on a lot of realms that never saw the Wintergrasp raid, because the other faction was superior in numbers. So they started to faction change.
My realm was 55-45 at the beggining of WotLK, then at the end it became 65-35, up to now that it is around 75-25.
Vanilla was hard even if you didnt put a foot into a raid. Quest classes, t0 and t0.5, dire maul, ubrs, scholo & strat, epic quests which required 10+ ppl, getting your mounts, gettin your profs to max, and so on. TBC was even harder skill-wise cause heroic dungeons were really heroic.
Getting full epic was also impossible without going into a raid. Oh and LFR isnt raiding. Idk what the hell it is but it is bad and people who use it should feel bad.
Where did I complain about BC. You going to tell me you never saw people spamming for groups in trade chat in BC?
Don't know about you but I have plenty to strive for yet. I haven't come close to killing all heroic bosses while they are current content.
I got challenge modes to complete that I haven't even begun yet.
What were you striving for before that you can't now?
Vanilla was no way hard, it was time consuming. And I do believe we settled that years back, that time does not equal skill. One of my irl friend got to rank 14, because he had the stamina to stay in AV 12 hours a day while watching movies and eating chips. Another of my friends got into a raiding guild because he was a dwarf priest and could fear ward their tank. And I cleared ZG, AQ20, MC, BWL and got only to rank 11 because I had other things to do, than sitting there playing a video game 12 hours a day.
WoW hasnt dumbed down, link me your HC progression if you want to prove its so darn easy anyone can do it.
The talent trees arent any less rewarding now, you can simply just skip those stupid filler talents. And you didnt have more choices before, you had to google -> Rogue PvP spec etc. And you copied it. Now you can do just fine and use what ever talents you want (Yes some are better for some encounters/PvP moments), and that makes the new one actually better.
Yes, everyone looks the same. But thats because a person who only got 5 hours a week to play, can clear LFR and get a different color than the HC progresser that raids 4x4hours a week..
Dont forget its a game, you're ment to have fun doing it. If you dont have fun anymore - Quit and save the money for the many better games out there (Though imo, there is no other MMO that can compete with WoW, and yes I've tried quite a bit of them)
they can do whatever the f*ck they want and they don't need to feel bad about it, if the game offers them the choice to do so
the only one here who should feel bad is you, because you take a game to seriously and you're so desperately trying to drag other people who just want to have fun down in order for yourself to feel better, yet you probably haven't accomplished anything outside a video game
And yet another player who didnt play classic judging by his nonsense talk about a game he didnt experience.
