So why did Djokovic keep going to the drop shot, did he not watch Murray's semi final? He had that perfect down the line counter to it every single time.

They pulled QI from BBC entertainment today to send Wimbledon. I was so sad.

Incidentally, the music used in the between sets slo-mo stuff I believe was also used at the start of the opening ceremony of the Olympics last year which was where I figured they were getting it from. And just checked the BBC there, unfortunately they've headlined Murray being congratulated by merely the Queen & David Cameron, leaving out the fact he was congratulated by Alec Salmond as well - bit of a faux pas when you consider no one in Scotland wants anything to do with Cameron!

Salmond's actually the footnote in the article.
Anyway I don't want this to get dragged into politics, but I'm going to leave this open for a couple of days, while the rankings get updated and what not. If it goes off topic I'll be closing it early.

mens rankings weren't going to be changed much by todays result, Djokovic remains 1 & Murray remains 2, Federer falls to 5 according to the BBC.
I know Salmond was in the foot note, however he should have been given equal billing with David Cameron in the article headline - that's a fairly major gaff, even from the BBC.
More sportingly, the rumour goes that Murray has agreed to donate his winners prize money to cancer research charities which if true, is a legendary move & one which he should be commended for massively, I know he's done a bit of fundraising recently as a result of Ross Hutchins' diagnosis, but credit to the guy if it's right enough as I'm guessing that's a fair chunk of change.

i think i saw $2.4 million to the winner, $1.2 million to the runner-up.. not sure if it's pounds or dollars.. the TV networks here in the US might have done the exchange
and he donated it all to charity, but he's already loaded...
Anyway, this is why Scotland hate England so much and it's things like this why some Scottish morons will vote for independence.

It was actually the Queen's prize money he gave away. He confirmed when asked. Not the Wimbledon prize.
Closing thread: Thread has gone off topic and has come down to nation bashing.
