In your oppinion, which endboss has had the most epic feeling, lore wise?

Which expansion end boss, has had the most epic feeling about it and why?

Edit, Forgot to add a few bosses.

    Illidan, Kel'thzad (classic version)

As for nefarian and onyxia they were there but they did not play a big role lore wise (my oppinion though)

Illidan, KJ, and The Lich King all felt pretty epic to me.

    Yogg-Saron without a doubt.

Lich King, Nefarin would also be up there had I done it at level.

Shouldn't it be Kel'Thuzad for classic?

For me it is the lich king.
He was there just a step ahead of us the entire expansion, taunting us, to kill him felt pretty good.
The rest of the bosses dont have that epic vibe in my oppinion

Deathwing in Cataclysm. Lich King got so weird compared to the experience in Warcraft 3, Kil'jeaden got weird with the whole Kael'thas thing as well, the old god and elemental lord stuff really never was very interesting and Garrosh is just the dumbest stuff they have come up with.

There were many things wrong with Dragon Soul, but I liked the story it told and the way it told that story.

He was just in your face the whole time. I know a ton of people said it was over played, but we were in his backyard. Of course he's going to be in your face taunting you, manipulating you, and trying to kill you before you became too big of a threat. I felt that whole expansion was well played out.

Encountering Kael'thas and his advisors was epic to me. For once a boss was prepared for the raid and had his best people by his side.

Madness of Deathwing looked really cool environmentally and spell effect wise, if you looked past the fact Deathwing was just sitting there doing nothing. But the fight itself was terribly done and boring. Lich King had a leadup, and an amazing fight to go along with it. The tone was very nice, and it was one of the fights we were waiting from since WC3.

I mean come on, Arthas is without a doubt the biggest character Blizzard ever created. Story-telling wasn't always perfect (*cough* Culling of Stratholme *cough*), but there is so much history behind this character that his death was truly an epic moment.

Glad to see that I wasn't the only one who felt LK was in a league of his own, and still is.

One does not simply outrule the Lich King.

    Arthas.

Downright, 100%, most awesome villain and anticipated boss.

Hell, theres an achievement called "I've been waiting a long time for this",no other boss before or after him has compared.

When the lich king fell, the franchise fell with him

This is the reason why the Lich King is the best boss. I haven't experienced all bosses WoW has to offer, but I have experienced Deathwing. Deathwing wasn't in your face, we weren't in his backyard, he didn't feel like a threat and I only saw him three times: in the expansion cinematic, when he was flying over Uldum (killing me) and in Dragon Soul. There might have been more, I really don't know; they weren't memorable.

I still remember seeing Lich King many times during leveling, in DrakTharon Keep and Utgarde Keep, in Naxxramas, in Trial of the Crusader and of course in Icecrown Citadel. His cinematics are arguably the best of WoW. He has the best quote ingame: "Let them come. Frostmourne hungers." It still sends shivers down my spine when I watch that cinematic.' His monologue at the start of ICC is epic and intimedating. The whole expansion felt connected.

Looking at the fights alone and Lich King comes out as the winner. When did we actually fight Deathwing? All we did is fight some bloodcells and tentacles. Oh, and we had to kill him before he completed his Cataclysm cast. Lich King was toying with us when he summoned all those adds. When he had enough, he killed us with one attack.
    Statix will suffice.

I must vote the lich king even though I didn't even play back then, the cinematic is just way too awesome.

I was forced to pick LK out of the options available. Not end boss, but I would have voted Illidan or even one of many other epic bosses than all the others listed.
