Yes, I cant really explain why other than saying its fun because its just fun, Some people enjoy being the wrecking ball through bgs and other people enjoy being the person that lets them be the wrecking ball i suppose. I just think its fun to heal my friends and let them completely destroy bgs after a good session of arena.

I totally agree with Senchae, nothing like keeping the wrecking ball alive and CCing their healers.

I like it in arenas. In randoms, it's REALLY hit-or-miss. It sucks when you get a group where not one person is pursuing objectives-- get one or two who know what they're doing and how to play with a healer though and it's not bad. RBGs-- depends. If I get to stay on offense the entire time, it's fun. If I'm only out for the initial rush and otherwise put on escort/babysitting duty with the FC, it's boring.

Over the past AV weekend, wasn't much fun the first day. Last night though, won a resource battle down to single resources each. After the win and the stats popped up, me and the other resto druid were #1-#2 in heals at 22 and 20 mil heals, next highest was a hunter. We knew we won that BG for us. That and seeing many, many people protecting us over the course of the fight was awesome. Death gripped in to have 2 shadow priests chain life grip us out multiple times was just.... yeah.

i used to do random bg healing as a holy pally, had great fun with it. i usually main a caster, so already in the mindset of hiding away from the action and escaping when possible, but yeah was good fun. never played at a competitive level mind. biggest gripe i had was that i can't go off and try to do an objective by myself, i had to follow my team, and fighting in the middle was always their favourite tactic...

The funnest part of healing in PvP is, imo, faking interrupts -- much like how on my warrior I get the most satisfaction from reflecting big spells or intervening & reflecting freezing traps.

Personnally, when I go in a random BG, where I see very few healers and I respec, there're 50 % chances that I'll regret it. When you're in a BG full of morons where no strategy's being applied and everyone's running everywhere without any synergy nor success, but YOU're trying to defend/capture ... for sure, I prefer to be a DPS in such cases, at least, breaking a few skulls lets off the steam, which couldn't be as a healer, where I feel very frustrated in such cases.

If not then this is not true at all...

yes its fun, it also takes a different mind set then dps, but like all things in this game its more enjoyable playing with people you know.

Yes, PvP healing is what I enjoy most in WoW. It keeps me on the edge of my seat and I never get bored of it. However, if you're grouped with bad players... things can get ugly fast.

On the other hand, topping the healing charts and being the deciding factor in a win is extremely satisfying. I've never been whispered after playing well with a DPS or Tank. But as a healer, when I'm at my best, people take notice. I like that

I love my discipline priest in RBGs but you're pretty much never going to be freecasting unless you're in a low rating bracket and the other team doesn't attempt to keep you locked down. As you get higher in rating you absolutely have to have competent teammates who will peel for you when you call for it and get whoever off of you who needs to be off so you aren't perma-CC'd and can get some heals out.

Running regular BGs you can probably stay alive pretty well through most situations...which will lead to you liking it more but if you're just starting out at learning how to PvP heal, it will take some time to gain the skills you need to do that. PvP healing is not like PvE healing at all in my eyes, you don't have a set rotation (yes, I never thought I'd say healers have a rotation too but as a disc priest in PvE they kind of do), and you have to play offensively and adapt quickly.

After making the switch to MW Monk I can finally say healing is fun again.

Yes, I think that's what appeals to me most about PvP healing. It's fast and chaotic. You think quickly and adapt.... or die.

I used to enjoy PvP healing, but now I can only enjoy it if playing with friends. Besides that, healing randoms isn't engaging and isn't fun, and should I lose, the whole experience is absolutely miserable. DPS however, win or lose, as long as I've killed a decent amount of other players, I go out feeling good. Hasn't always been that way for me, you need a certain mindset or lots of friends to enjoy healing.

I used to like it, sometime after wotlk I just kind of moved away from healing, not sure why.

It depends on which healer I'm playing on. In order of increasing happiness to unhappy:

    Disc > Holy > MW > Sham > RDruid
