[PvP] Is a ret worth playing?

Their damage is pretty solid. But they are somewhat kiteable, and cooldowns can be saved for wings, thus neutralizing them.

How are they easily kiteable?

May be I haven't see the good ones. While playing with a spriest monk and a rogue we had no problems keeping rets from sitting on their target for more than 50% of the time usually. But we weren't high ranked either. So excuse me if what I say does not apply to you.
