its too bad yoko kanno doesnt get the respect in japan as in western nations, but the bebop soundtracks are great. i love how one song simply recites the digits to pi.

two of my other favorite soundtracks are the Hellsing OST (tho i thought the series itself was overrated), and the original Last Exile OST.

I enjoy bleach, naruto and ghost in the shells but idk for my favorite it would be a toss up between .Hack// (games and animes) and Gurren Lagann. I really enjoy the intro for attack on titan but the rest i will need to wait and see.

I would also like to add Aria & Tamayura to my original post.
They both have very relaxing/calming OST's.

THIS SEASON I really like the Watamote OP and END songs (these vids have ENG subs, 720p high quality... I like to upload good quality shizzle :P ).

That opening is funny considering the show that goes with it.

Definitely the complete soundtrack to Death Note

And more recently, the soundtrack to Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan):

Pretty much all of the folk metal with bagpipes of the Fairy Tail OST. Hell, the music was why I started watching it in the first place, I literally had no idea what Fairy Tail was about and was just like 'damn this is some sweet as hell music. Better watch this shit.'

On the other hand, the 'emotional' pieces in its soundtrack do absolutely nothing for me. Meh!

If I had to name one that worked as a whole... probably Spirited Away. There isn't a single track from the movie I don't love.

Alternative special mention for just opening music:

I actually like this even more than Tank! from Cowboy Bebop, which I'd previously thought impossible! Tank! does have the superior sax solo though, not gonna lie. But a song cannot depend upon the weight of its soloist alone!
