    New Monitor

    Hello,

I'm looking to buy a new monitor and have come up with two so far and wondered which is best for WOW gaming, or if there is a better one in the £150 price range.

    I'm from England.

    Dell U2312HM (No HDMI)
    LG IPS237L-BN (2 x HDMI)

I just mention HDMI in case it's something you need/want. Both are IPS by the way.

Quick bump before I go to bed, anyone agree with any of the suggested ones or have any new ones. I need a HDMI slot.

I know it won't count agreeing with myself but either way I own the LG IPS237L-BN and I'm satisfied with it, the dual HDMI (one link port for smartphones etc.) is nice, quality is good, viewing angles are great. The only thing it's really missing is height adjustment, none issue for me but worth mentioning.

I am curious about Asus vs239HR monitor as well. I'm planning to buy it, but it's hard to find any meaningful reviews about it. The closest I got was this: http://www.hardwarezone.com/review-a...ess-you-and-me
It's for vs239H-P model, but I guess it's almost the same.
I have enough of EA ruining great franchises and studios, forcing DRM and Origin on their games, releasing incomplete games only to sell day-1 DLCs or spill dozens of DLCs, and then saying it, and microtransactions, is what players want, stopping players from giving EA games poor reviews, as well as deflecting complaints with cheap PR tricks.

I'm not going to buy any game by EA as long as they continue those practices.

Yes this is what I was going to suggest, Lower response time of 2ms, twice the contrast ratio and even in inch bigger.

Hmm, not even Asus webpage states what panel type it is. Judging by the short response time I guess it's TN?

Yes, because it's a TN panel and for WoW those lower response times won't really matter anything. I can tell you from experience there is zero issues with the higher IPS response time on either of the Dell or LG models. Twice the contrast, then it must be twice as good, right? I'm sorry but you can't rely on any of those contrast ratio numbers, each company uses a different standard or way of measuring.
