That's been bugged for quite a while now. Most of the new rares that were added in 5.1 (or was it 5.2?) show up like that as well as several older pets.

Not a single of my 25 pets show up as that.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhh, reminds me of the awesome 1 week i tamed a worgen back in WotLK. most badass pet bug evar!!!!!!!!

At least the oiled wolf and oracles-hydra still work, unlike the worgen.
