sylvanas is one hell of a character. depending on how you analyze her, you might want to give her a hug or a kick in the tits.
she lost everything, including her life and freedom, and than she regained her freedom and lived only for vengeance. and than someone else killed her nemesis before she could. she tried to die but discovered that not even death would give her peace. now she's trying her best to survive, and doing whatever it takes to do so. in the process, she's pissing a lot of people off. she struggles with the feelings from her former self and her new reality, but she doesn't admit it. her story may end in redemption or destruction, depending on blizzard's whim alone.
that makes her an extremely interesting and unpredictable character, and I love her for that

Of course I like her - - ever since Magatha Grimtotem has slipped off the radar, Sylvanas became the ONLY female character in all of WoW that - in terms of personality, motives, developement and relations - wouldn't have been the posterchild for "And THIS is the aberration of a female character that the patriarchal society encourages through media and entertainment outlets!".

I think she is a very good character, I really loved the Warcraft 3 story and the new undead starting area. As a new Forsaken recruit I clearly love her.

Even before I got to the royal quarters of Undercity, the flow of lore surrounding her since the early newbie quest dialogues made my connection to her grow swiftly. She should plague bomb Orgrimmar while the Alliance and Horde are duking it out and just wipe everyone out. Instead, she's done pretty much nothing this entire expansion.
