get Big Wigs: Ra Den Assist or whatever it's called.
Use warlock portals smart.
Easiest encounter this tier apart from Jin'rokh imo, if your dps is high enough you can completely ignore p2 mechanics...

Its not realy a matter of having high DPS, its a matter of math, you loose more DPS killing the corupted ball that heals him than he heals in pretty much every scenario unless its the first ball that spawns, even so its better to just let it heal and not even worry about soaking the stupid explosion. Blizzard managed to develop a boss where you can simply ignore 70% of all mechanics, theyre super smart lol.

Its not realy a matter of having high DPS, its a matter of math, you loose more DPS killing the corupted ball that heals him than he heals in pretty much every scenario unless its the first ball that spawns, even so its better to just let it heal and not even worry about soaking the stupid explosion. If they did not require a Lei Shen Heroic kill in order to kill Ra-den then I think it would have been just fine somewhere midtier.

I still don't get the point of using an add-on and a warlock portal for such simple things as calling the name of the person going to replace you once you get the debuff and go stand on a marker... it overcomplicates a very easy fight.. took 7 pulls in 25 and 6 in 10.. just need to zerg the orbs fast enough and it's gg.

The whole problem is the boss wasnt suposed to be harder thanLei Shen, OK, but it wasnt suposed to be done like ppl do on live. Blizz actualy intended for ppl to have to do both Vita and Anima phases, but like it always happens to bosses that are not tested on PTR something goes wrong. End result is you can ignore half the fight because blizz didnt enforce anything on you that makes you do both phases and one is obviously much easier than the other. And last phase ignoring is actualy the optmal way to go, so go figure, boss has like 15 skills you only realy need to worry with 5 or so the rest you just pretend they dont exist.

If you manage to kill Lei Shen HC and after that wasting 30 attemps on Ra-Den you are doing something wrong. Some serious errors in the strategy.

@OP, Extending does not reset attempts. Since it's only 30 in a week, which you can blow through in a day I'd suggest clearing anyway for a full reset of gear

On topic: Yes, as others have said. You only get 30 attempts a lockout. Extending will not give you another 30 attempts.

But take this boss like any other new boss you encounter. Try not to think about the 30 attempts TOO much and you will get it. We got it on our 26th attempt last night lol. The biggest thing to worry about on this fight for your first kill is Orb DPS. That is what took up most of our first attempt wipes. After that is was pretty much a matter of time before we killed it. Only things we wiped to at that point were people messing up Vita.

Give multiple alts the Lei Shen kill lock out. Do not use any of your pulls on Ra-den. After reset the ids will be split and you can use 30 pulls per week. This only lasts until you run out of alts with the Lei Shen lockout.

NB: Using any of your initial Ra-den pulls will effect the primary lockout.
