Desert-themed warrior.

Hey people! I'm looking for some help on gear.

I'm looking for some desert-themed armour, think Ancient Egypt, mixed with Unsullied, mixed with Uldum.
This is the shield I'm using http://www.wowhead.com/item=93902
I'm using a Blood elf for it.

I'm not sure how much it fits the desert theme, but my Warrior's transmog would probably match that shield pretty well. I took some screenshots for you to check out, I'm an Orc but I used the Orb of Sin'dorei to turn into a Blood Elf to give you a better idea. Also as a BE the shattered sun tabard is great.

It's a very desert like sword with a very yellow glow.

Might want to be careful with how heavy the armor feels if you want a good desert theme. If you wear a full plate in an area that has little shade and daytime temperatures that reach 115, you'd cook before you get into the fight.

Damn, this is hard, there aren't many plate items that look deserty. My attempt failed pretty badly, ended up looking more like a spartan paladin than anything else.

Could just go for a straight-up Might set. Not exactly original, but i think it looks kind of deserty.

It's unique though, and looks like a fun RP set if you had like 10 of those sets and u could be like: This is sparta aaaargh x)

Let me just point out that a desert warrior would not be wearing a loose cloak of any kind - the massive winds and sandstorms would probably cause a long loose cloak to wrap around your face and even choke you to death.

Also very light armor would be worn, something like thin leather - anything as heavy as a mail is just out of the question (as far as realism go, at least).

Aye, pretty much screwed if you're a warior on WoW then, none of the plate stuff fits that criteria, so the best you can do is try to draw from stuff that's near ish to a desert :P

I recommend you start out with the Cataclysmic Gladiator set, from there you can make your own thing.

P.S I just noticed you wanted to include that shield...then I don't know what to tell you. If you are paladin there are some stuff I can think off that would fit that shield. As a warrior...not many.

You'd probably want something that looks light and loose-fitting, maybe a little tarnished.

There's a very good reason why desert-dwelling people wear robes and head scarfs. Trust me, if you're in the desert you'd want something to wrap around yourself.

He said "loose cloak". The types of cloaks in question he's referring to are really capes. You are of course correct about voluminous robes and scarves, but he could have a point with the capes.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I've seen a lot of good ones.
It doesn't have to be plate armour, it can be any armour class, really.

If you are paladin there are some stuff I can think off that would fit that shield. As a warrior...not many.

I'm using a Blood Elf paladin for it !

To be totally adequate you'd have to use cloth and leather for the most part, so transmog wpuld be out.
