This looks neat, but far from finished if this is supposed to be a Steam analogue. Still, quite cool.
If you are particularly bold, you could use a Shiny Ditto. Do keep in mind though, this will infuriate your opponents due to Ditto's beauty. Please do not use Shiny Ditto. You have been warned.
I love this simply because I no longer have to log in to the game every time.
Sorry to spoil the fun but you do realise when blizzard actually realise this has happened or they realise they screwed up or w/e they are just gonna remove the beta from your accounts? i bet you anything they do![]()

I am conflicted. I want to help test for bugs and provide feedback to blizzard, but I was not invited, yet I could download this an help test it out. I am unsure what to do. I don't want to get in trouble.
Confirmed!
Downloaded it, installed, logged in and now am flagged for desktop beta, thanks OP!
I see that the client will tell you who is online from your friends list but thats it, you cant chat or do anything.
Bump! Loving this client so far <3 Thanks OP for bringing it to my attention!

Was tempted to make a topic on the official WoW fourms about this, but seeing how nothing is up on there yet I'm debating if it's rally open or not. Either way it's a great app so far![]()

Please stop. As a mod of this site who has been around a while this has been brought up numerous times and you should know better. It's an open unsecured link to a file and if Blizzard didn't want people downloading it then they would have put it somewhere far more secure. They don't care. At all. This happens with every beta of theirs. If they don't want people using beta clients they can simply set it so they can only log in if flagged.

Again no one is going to get into trouble for this. Blizzard knows what they are doing. If they don't want people accessing certain things they are more than capable of locking things down.

Why on earth would they delete the tweet and leave the file alone on their web servers? Really? Use your head.

It seems as though downloading and installing the client flags your account for beta. This is most definitely intentional and can not happen by accident.

No. Just no. Sorry but they aren't going to delete the tweet without doing something with the file as well. At worst it was just simply not supposed to be announced yet but they don't care if people find the link and use it to get the client.

Seriously if Blizzard didn't want random people using this client, they wouldn't be able to. Period. End of story. Say what you will about Blizzard's ability in game development but at minimum all their IT guys know precisely what they are doing.
Sorry, it's my due diligence as mod to not jump ito endorsing something that hasn't been officially sanctioned for Blizzard that could very well have been an accident. I don't want (and I'm sure Boubouille doesn't want) people on this site getting in trouble for something because the mods said it was peachykeen when it wasn't and was only the result of an error. I didn't remove the link, I didn't close the thread, but I think my warning of caution is completely justified. I'm not going to make claims of safety that I can't back up with solid evidence; that's not fair to users here.
As far as "If they don't want people using beta clients they can simply set it so they can only log in if flagged" well, yes. That's how it was for the last couple months. The argument being made here is that the fact it changed could have been a mistake and not intentional. They do typically let people know when the beta has opened for everyone, and they haven't done that here. And, in fact, the only comment we've heard on it got deleted within minutes.
You can believe it's fine and try it all you want, but don't scold me for opting not to blindly give permission to posters here when that isn't my permission to give - it's Blizzard's. I will gladly do so the second Blizzard confirms it's okay. Until then, it's at everyone's own discretion.
So people in the beta can still download the link? That link has ALWAYS been available for download, from the first day the beta opened (when it was still "closed"). They always have these files available to download for their beta tests. What is unique is that installing them would flag one's account. Why on earth would they delete the tweet and leave the file alone on their web servers? Really? Use your head.
Zarhym deleted his tweet for a reason. I don't know what reason that is, but your guess isn't any more valid than anyone else's.
