    Laptop for school and gaming

Hey all, it's been a while since I last posted here. I'm looking for an affordable laptop for school, gaming, and everyday use. I'm looking for at least 8 gb of ram, I would prefer a touch screen with windows 8, as much portability as possible, ultra or high settings on wow, and all for around $800-$1000 dollars. I've found a lot, and these are the two I really like. I'm personally customizing them on HP's website.

HP ENVY TouchSmart 15t-j000 Quad Edition Notebook PC
    E4T18AV

    Windows 8 64
    4th generation Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4700MQ Processor
NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M Graphics with 2048MB of dedicated video memory
15.6-inch diagonal Full HD BrightView LED-backlit Display (1920x1080)
    8GB DDR3 System Memory (1 Dimm)
    1TB 5400RPM Hybrid Hard Drive
NO mSSD Hard Drive Acceleration Cache
    No Additional Office Software
    No additional security software
    6-Cell Lithium-Ion Battery
No Internal DVD or CD Drive
    Backlit Keyboard
HP TrueVision HD Webcam w/ integrated digital mic
    802.11b/g/n WLAN

    $955

    and the HP Envy 15z-1000

    • Windows 8 64
    • AMD Quad-Core A8-5550M Accelerated Processor
    • AMD Radeon HD 8750M + HD 8000 Series Dual Graphics
    • 15.6-inch diagonal Full HD BrightView LED-backlit Display (1920x1080)
    • 16GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm)
    • 1TB 5400RPM Hybrid Hard Drive
    • No Additional Office Software
    • No additional security software
    • 6-Cell Lithium-Ion Battery
    • No Internal DVD or CD Drive
    • Backlit Keyboard
    • HP TrueVision HD Webcam w/ integrated digital mic
    • 802.11b/g/n WLAN

    $823

I'm not to familiar with AMD though, and the second one doesn't have a touchscreen, What are your recommendations on laptops that are similar to these, and which one should I get out of the two I linked? Thanks!

WoW on ultra requires a high end processor. AMD APU's aren't high end. And even then don't expect ultra settings with always nice framerates on a laptop.

Thank's for at least answering my question of which one is better.

What this guy said! I'd go with the intel. Will perform better with any more CPU intensive.
