Helping my friend to build a new pc

My friend is looking to get his pc upgraded, but doesn't know alot about pc's, so he asked me to make him something. His budget is €600 to €700, but going €50 above wouldn't be such a big deal.

He told me he only plays wow, and doesn't play games that have requirements like Battlefield 3, but he doesn't want to have lag when he raids in 10 or 25 man

On an MMO forum post ( http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/...-Sample-Builds ), I've found a pc that fits his budget, and looks fairly good to me, for playing wow, and also for games that are higher up

    This setup consists of:
    -ASRock H77 Pro4/MVP Motherboard (€76,85)
    -Intel i3 3220 CPU (€100,70)
    -HIS Radeon 7850 GPU (€153,60)
    -G.Skill 1600MHz 2x4GB Ram Memory (€68,26)
-WD Caviar Blue 500GB HDD (€56,47)
    -Antec VP-450W PSU (€38,78)
    -Xigmatek Asgard Case (€44,33)

Now, my question is, is there anything else that he's goig to need, like an heatsink, or are there cheaper components that would also deliver the performance my friend is looking for, or are simply stronger?

Because my friend lives in Spain, i looked up everything before hand on Amazon.es to give him a more accurate price indication.

I must also note that he still needs to get Windows 7-64 bit. He has the keyboard, screen and mouse.

Please tell me if i made any mistakes etc in thinking what was good, so i can learn from that aswell.

Well, you said 50E up wouldnt be a problem, and i3 is old,

edit: didnt notice he needs Windows 7, meh.

Either way, going for a i3 is just no, even if its only for WoW.

Alright, he will probally go for the i5 4570, I personally was also thinking about the i5 2320, but the i5 4570 would be cheaper, and would be more profitable. The only thing that bothers him is that the GFX is very expansive, nearly €80 more than the 7850, which is also a pretty good card to my knowledge. Would the MSI-G43M be compatible with this gfx? And, he won't need anything else beside the things that you linked like cooling?

Difference between i3 and i5 for WoW is around 10%, it's pretty easy place to shave off a lot from the budget.

Sucky part is that Haswell i3's aren't available yet so you're stuck with Ivy Bridge board and i7-3770 as the maximum upgrade if you go with i3 today.

Can he wait about two weeks? Haswell i3's are launching on september 1st and for his budget it's pretty much what he should get.

He can, but he preferbly has his pc together around the release of 5.4, or a couple of weeks after that
