Seriously? How is Dust in the Wind not in that poll?
Also;
And IMO John Lennon's most underrated song;

One thing I will point out is with Hurt. First of all the song was written by Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails. Johnny Cash did the cover. The song comes from an album called The Downward Spiral. The song is the climax of the album where fear, doubt, hate and despair turn to hope and acceptance. It's probably the least sad song of the album since the rest are categorically hopeless.
Too many songs from Metallica could be used, especially The Black Album.
(dangit PBitt beat me to Nirvana)
Let's go on a feel trip to a different age. You know the one, that held such better days.
Oh, and don't forget to bring a snack.
There are no bathrooms, only Zuul.
No, it's not a joke. Almost every review I read of this album mentioned how stripped and sad this song is. If you can listen to it without feeling something then you're a robot.
This is a sad song anyway, but this cover is just ridiculously sad.

^ This has to be one of them, but thats partly due to the amount of emotion he puts into it. There are a few covers of it which are faster etc

Evanescence - Wake me up Inside
I don't like any music, i can't understand it at all, wish it would go away, when i was growing up people would say what's your fav music type and i was like "umm" as i didn't know any song names or singers etc..however Evanescence that one song i heard playing on the radio when i was young and i had just found out my grandmother had died and was incredibly sad and it just stuck with me now i just associate the song with feeling sad

wat.. your missing out on life not liking music dude
All of your shitty white songs suck
Song: Komm, süsser Tod
Vocals: Arianne
Music: Shiro Sagisu
From: The End of Evangelion
That or this one...
Song: Beauty Is Within Us
Vocals: Scott Matthew
Music: Yoko Kanno
From: Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex
Of those listed, Hurt.
However, the song I will unabashedly admit to crying to A LOT is Pink Floyd's "Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts I-V)".
"You wore out your welcome, with random precision"... gets me every time. Any time I think of someone who I've lost or grown apart from, this song a) makes me feel terrible about it, then b) helps me put it in the past.
Fortunately parts V-IX are a bit happier. But not much.

I'm gonna let 'em know that Dolemite is back on the scene! I'm gonna let 'em know that Dolemite is my name, and fuckin' up motherfuckers is my game!
As a huge Audiophile, have a very vast library to pull from. Way to many choices to be made. On the top of my mind though 2 Jackson Browne songs come to mind. I'd say they would be tied but for different reasons that are made clear in the lyrics.
