WW Monk isn't strong. Warrior, Rogue, Mage, or Hunter are much stronger, however most people here are crying about how they get fucked by WW in 1v1, 2v2, and BGs, which a good WW can and will do, but in 3v3 WW can't do shit.

What the OP probably failed to realize:
- Balanced pvp doesn't revolve around 1 class, but around a team (3v3);
- 1V1 isn't balanced, and so isn't 2v2, so discussing duels or 2v2 is completely useless;
That said, the most op pvp class in the current season: warlock (heals, dmg, cc, utility, defensives) > mage (dmg, cc, defensives) > ele (damage, utility)=boomkin
