    How does Dalaran... Float?

I've seen all these Siege of Orgrimmar threads about why doesn't Dalaran and Kirin Tor just teleport the city to Orgrimmar and beam mages in. But... how exactly does the city float? Is there like a group of mages who constantly switch out because of how tired they would get. If this is the case, then if they teleported the city from Northrend to Orgrimmar... Everyone would be tired and the Horde could easily knock the city out of orbit.

Does anyone know what keeps the city aloft?

Probably it's just... floating because Rhonin wanted to be in Northrend.

Rhonin once wrapped a single thread of is flame colored hair around the base of the city and now it flies.

Even in death one can make jokes about him.

Dalaran floats because it's lighter than a duck.

I assume they just set up some sort of charm or ward that doesn't need to be refreshed. Alternatively, it's resting on the back of an enormous, invisible, tame dragon.

You're asking how the magical city magically floats?

I would guess it's just enchanted or rather was enchanted by the most powerful mages/archmages around at the time. I haven't seen anything suggesting that mages are required to channel anything to keep it there, but there are mages at the ground portal in northrend and Dalaran's original location with forcefields up. So who knows.

    Interesting question though.

Edit: It's all Jaina. She's so OP.

its all the gnomes locked in the sewers and fed with beans , power of fart keeps city airborn... and if you dont believe just go under dala to the area below it , all the grass is yellow there now.

If they're smart they would probably drain all the magically powerful inmates in the Violet Hold and use them as long-life batteries. That way the prisoners would also be on low power constantly, limiting their escape options. However. It probably doesn't make much a difference what power source they use, since there's always a way that power source could be taken out. Be it tired mages, drained prisoners, mystical fairy wells or gnomish engineering. The latter would probably protest. So let's just say it's magic and that's that.

They (the Kirin Tor) used universal, magical, air sticking duct tape... That you cant see... Because they somehow used ninja shrouding stuff on it... But really, it's just magic, can't explain it

There are a bunch of dwarves beneath it blowing air towards it with their mouths.
