    Lead composer for next expansion

Who would be best? Jason Hayes, Glenn Stafford, Russell Brower or Derek Duke? I personally hope Jason Hayes, since he was lead composer for vanilla wow and made most of tunes for original World of Warcraft. He came back to Blizzard in late 2012 and hasnt really written that much new music except couple of tunes for patch 5.1 and 5.2.

Some of original tracks that are composed by Jason Hayes:

    Original login screen theme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_uc7MmeyyY
    Seasons of War: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwsYfXdhDtc
    Stormwind theme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1XcJIDi1Qs
    Durotar: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=alWTyJr1Gro
    Burning steppes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RdZN9Rf1ANQ
    Elwynn Forest: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvW-QTiZLQ0
    Ashenvale: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4U4vr_Ra3o

Since lot of people are propably familiar with this composer's wow tunes, here is a bit more rare piece that also prove that he's very much capable to still make great music. When he can write music like this and almost whole vanilla wow soundtrack, one could just imagine what kind of soundtrack this dude could make for next expansion:

I've always liked Russel Brower's work, but Jason Hayes is also a fantastic composer.

They are all great. I don't think I have a favorite, but Russel Brower has done a terrific job so far. A lot of the MOP music doesn't appeal to me though, but that's not his fault.
    Mother pus bucket!

Jesper Kyd. He could really bring in some awesome tunes.

I don't care much for the music in MoP. In fact I turned off my music months ago and haven't turned it back it on. It has it's highlights, but the rest of it, especially the Shrine score, goes right through me.
Vanilla and WotLK were definitely the high points for me (although I believe the guy responsible for WotLK also done MoP, just goes to show you) and Cataclysm and TBC were about equally good (although the login for TBC probably edges it ahead.

Jason Hayes is one of my favorite composers. The score he did for Skyrim set a whole new standard for game soundtracks, and he did an awesome job on the GW2 soundtrack.

That was by far the worst music in the game, even if you liked the gameplay more then in the other expacs like the majority of people do, that music was atrocious. WotLK had a much better sound to it, Cata and Mists were both eh. Mists wasnt necessarily bad for me, I just get alot of the Asian culture already being a huge manga and martial arts and fan of their culinary styles, so the music wasnt to special or exciting.

They need to get Buckethead, he did Mortal Kombat and Power Rangers theme. =D

Really hoping Jeremy Soule contributes again. I've always loved his work.

Matt Uelmen, or atleast he did most of outdoor zone music.

Glenn Stafford did an awesome job with wc2.
WoW themes are too slow to me for game soundtrack. I would listen to them when chilling afk or something but not when actually playing the game
Wc2 pieces have better pace for game soundtrack imo. Or just pay enough for uematsu

Matt Uelmen did most of the zone music for TBC, but he left Blizzard right after that to join Runic. Not the best music in WoW, but then ironically his departure was responsible for Diablo 3's music being so god damn dull.

Id like to see Jason Hayes,Glenn Stafford, and Jeremy Soule all colab together.....Hayes and Stafford have done amazing work with warcraft over the years and while i do enjoy the MoP music with Soule at the head I think he would shine with traditional fantasy music like he did with Skyrim's soundtrack.

Well yes, Stafford and Hayes are the core of Warcraft music. Soule is great composer no doubt about that, but his expertise is much better served in game like Skyrim than in Warcraft games.

Most of his work is very environmental, like the stuff in Skyrim, and so I can see where you'd say that. But check out some of his other work - I think he could do well.
