    https://www.guildwars2.com/en/the-ga...ember-17-2013/

    September 17, 2013

It has been gathering power in the depths.
    It is faster, stronger, deadlier.
It has returned to devour and destroy.
It is called Tequatl the Sunless… and it has evolved.

    Video

That's all for the next update?

    Rather thin.

First time I heard of all world bosses being changed. Should be interesting come the 17th (even though everyone will be playing GTA 5 that day).

eh, I've said it before I'll say it again, it's just going to end in a zerg faceroll. I don't believe in Anet difficult of "hard" when none of their content is "hard" and the only thing they actually made "hard" was SAB and they nerfed it.

All word bosses are getting updated supposedly, so new mechanics on everything.... supposedly and since there are like 20+ bosses I don't think it's thin but yea.... zerg events will always be zerg events.

Fairly minor patch really. I guess adjusting all the bosses was a big undertaking but for the players it seems pretty minor. I'm sure I'll try and kill Tequatl a few times but this is the smallest patch I've seen. I wonder if it'll even have a meta.

Thank God. Between work and wife, I've been unable to catch up to all the content they're releasing. It'll be nice to have more time to focus on SAB =)

If what they are saying is true...

We’ve adjusted all of our bosses to make them more challenging and fun!
So that's 22 bosses, though there are like 7(?) that do not spawn... ever so maybe they will make them spawn now.

But 22 bosses is quite a lot. You usually see less in a raid patch but they can also totally suck and the bosses that never spawn can still never spawn so..

Oh look! Another back piece -_-

Revamping of bosses is cool, should give them a bit of a new feel which is cool. I agree with Zito the Teq will probably end up being a zerg fest, but maybe there will be some new mechanics which you can't ignore. That tidal wave thing looks awesome. LFG is exciting as well. And the rest are changes to WvW getting ready for the first season. Not bad, seems like this whole month is a break from the "Living Story" though.

You can't avoid the wall it summons but you can just zerg that and then it's back to zerging the boss

    zzzz

And the back pieces keep coming because the other back pieces don't stay and there isn't a lot of permanent back piece looks in the game so they will keep adding temp ones.

I wonder what is even the internal logic to revisit these bosses as new content. Like am I suppose to be thinking, "Gosh. I really want to see what aoe circles I need to dodge out of for the REVISED JUNGLE WORM!" and then proceed to this content area for... what?

This isn't really new content. I do recognize that it is a fair effort to revise many of these encounters, and a tip of the hat for the intuitive going through. Yet realistically speaking, what process of thought does the game design suggest to me to just go out and dodge more colored circles and glowing cudgels?

I dare say this is somewhat lazy development. Or at best, lackluster.

Yeah, definitely more mechanics. You can see the sneak peek play session at Pax here @ 10:22. They say it will take 80 well-geared players to defeat.

Depends, if they all do complete new things I consider it new content it's just their models are the same.

Eye of zhaitan, karka queen, modniir, taidha, dred commissioner and the chieftain. They never ever spawn unless once in a blue moon.

I hope it's the last back piece for now. I'm glad with the update on bosses, it got pretty boring. For the rest I'll just wait it out and see.

    Doesn't really excite me.

I might finally get to do story mode of City of Arah though.

Modnir, Dredge Commissar and Foulbear Chieftain I do every couple days.
Did Taidha last week, people just don't do the pre-events very often.

Eye of Zhaitan - there's a nasty Champ Risen Abomination in the Zho'qafa Catacombs that needs to be killed to finish the escort quest to trigger the Eye. Most players don't bother with it since it's so hard.

Karka Queen we do once a week, it's just a pia since you need to hold all 4 camps in the window to trigger the spawn.

They don't spawn enough to warrant anything.

A lot of them have pre events that people don't do. Tahida bugs from time to time.

I'll have to see what they've done to the other bosses to get even remotely excited.

Pretty sure Modnir spawns all day. That area is really active.
But maybe one of you lolafkautoattackdodge folk can go take out that Risen Abom Champ so we can do the Eye ;-)

This month feels more like a filler month content wise, SAB is the major draw here and it's a re-release with extra stuff added in. I don't think October is going to have much new either given it's the Halloween event and I doubt there will be a lot of new stuff released with it if any new stuff at all, which I think is fine, GW2's Halloween event is the best Halloween event in an MMO that I've experienced so far. November will probably have new stuff, probably even story related stuff, but then in December I expect that the same Wintersday event will be rereleased in almost the exact same form as last year, which again I think is fine.
