The tank problem is something I can agree with you on. I personally have never had any problems with the guns but to each is there own I guess.

Come Oct 1 for some and the 4th for everyone else we will know how it plays out first hand I just hope BF4 beta isn't as buggy as BF3 was at lease for me. Played the Beta on Xbox360 and the map was flashing nonstop and that caused me to stop playing it.

I have Premium on Xbox I got normal on PC with 1 dlc and the basic game on ps3 LOL.

Only reason I own it on Ps3 is because I got it for 15$ and there is no longer a online pass requirment and I play console play over pc.

I agree that is one of the most annoying things to me about both COD and BF is having to level up guns to get basic shit like a scope or flashlight attachment.

I´ll most likely preorder BF4 to play with friends. Did nobody else notice that if you buy the game from Origin, the premium version is cheaper than the standard one? That means you wont have to buy extras!
Don´t know about consoles but this is true for PC players

edit: False information on the premium version, my bad :'(

I never owned a Battlefield game before. I want to try this one out but i'm hesitating. I don't like vehicular combat in first person shooters. I played Onslaught back in Unreal Tournament 2004 and can't say i was a big fan of it (bombing run still to date remains as my favorite mode tho'). I'm more of a COD person. I played cod2, cod4, mw2 and mw3 but after seeing mw2 and mw3 i decided that i would never spend another penny on this franchise again (said to myself; unless they fixed the issues in mw2 and mw3: fov, cheating, and some basic pc functionality.. which they never did). So i won't be buying Ghosts either.

I watch these BF4 gameplay videos yet i still can't decide if i want to try it out or not. I'm currently playing Quake Live Clan Arena, Cod4 TDM and MW3 Drop Zone. These already satisfy my FPS needs weekly. Should i give it a try with BF4, i can't decide.. I won't preorder the game by the way. I'll wait for some player reviews even if i make my mind.

I'm a PC gamer and the key things i look after are a cheat free environment, good pc functionality (fov up to 90-100 is a must) and non laggy controls. How was the previous Battlefield games on these matters? Especially in mw3 i see a few aimbotters periodically. You can't kick them since its p2p so you just leave the game yourself, which becomes frustrating after awhile. I found a dedicated server solution for mw3 few months ago (IW..) and now playing there but most servers don't have an active admin and hacking is rampant even in there :s

Did previous battlefields have any 'gamebreaking' issues? Something like this for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ziSCrNeCHBc

Anyway i'll keep looking for beta test reviews and such. If it turns out to be perfect i may buy it afterwards.

Here is the thing, dont buy BF4 if you dont like vehicles, while there is an infantry combat system and maps with no vehicles, they arnt that common and the infantry system isnt as refined as the vehicle system. This game is made to be a vehicle combat game with infantry combat on the side.

i will buy it when it's reward team-/squadplay better (and VOIP ingame), at least the return of the commander is a good start.
Seriously. Are you seriously complaining that they don't have a 100% free falling SKYSCRAPER that falls differently every time. The event is player triggered, the only thing "scripted" is the animation of the fall. Dice does something incredible and people still bitch that it isn't good enough, like better is even possible. No game has even come close to the scale of BF3 and BF4 destruction, and you still can't help but complain about it.

Read up on the game before you make stupid comments. They are rewarding team/squad play now. All of the new squad perks that you can only get by working with your squad, the commander being able to tell squads where to go to earn extra points/help the team, and 5 person squads. Squad VOIP has been confirmed (for PC, I don't think they have said anything for console).

In terms of the Beta coming in, do people who have BF3 Premium get the BF4 Beta? It seems BF4 Exclusive Beta is in my Games tab on Origin.

Infantry combat is just as required and on the importance scale as vehicle combat. So calling the infantry combat system tack on the side, I can't see it.

Then you will just ignore the facts, because you probably were that stupid to "preorder" it blindly.
i am not a BF fanboy. In fact i am not into FPS multiplayer battlefield, CoD, counter-strike... and i probably won't buy any of them (unless i get a deal at less than $10 for the sigle campaign). However....

i understand the appeal of such game as battlefield. This is a like a modern warfare battlefield simulator (duh!). You have ground infantry with a veriety of class, that shoot obviously but also revive, resuply, setup perimeter with motion detector and stuff. Plus you have see, air, land vehicule. I definitly can understand the appeal.

and to be honest, though i am not into FPS multiplayer, i was impress with the BF4 demo, destructible building, laser guided missile, even a whole skyscrapper going down, and the ability to skydive from said skyscrapper. I won't play it, but i admit, this is neat stuff anyway.

If you have BF3 Premium you will be able to start playing Oct 1st if you don't you start playing Oct 4th.

Now I don't know if lets say you got Premium on Xbox360 that you can play on Ps3/PC Oct 1st. I would think you could if its tied to the same battlelog account but I could be wrong.

Premium does not include the core game afaik, only its expansions and some other little bonuses.

I lterraly spent one month playing BF3 all day with my bro.

We had so much fun and was the first we were impressed that much by a fps. The feeling was epic.

    I ll def give a try at BF4 even if know it's a BF3 ++

Already pre-ordered, going to jump into beta soon. That said i wish there was a few things they fixed, maybe they have done some of these, havent really kept up to date with them.

    1) Ammo boxes only give ammo back, no explosives (Maybe stinger missles). if you have ever played rush on maps like Metro, it's just a fest of people stood there throwing nades up and down the escalators. Removing m320 and nades from ammo box would help a lot.

    2) Some way so people can learn to use things like jets and helicopters properly without them camping there the whole game, only 1 min later to be shot down. Maybe something better in campaign mode, unlike the crappy on-rails jet ride we got in campaign, and I know there is a helicopter mission in co-op, but thats only a helicopter. Needs to be expanded on.

I agree. It's like you're starring in a movie instead of actually playing a game and using your brain. That's the problem with a lot of current games, and even starting with Crysis 1.

I think you might have been playing too much COD.

I'll almost certainly buy the game, but they need to fix the hit reg and spawn issues. Spawn immunity only works some of the time, and even if it does, no one wants to spawn in front of a squad of bad guys. Hopefully DICE implements something similar to CoD's spawn-and-fight-someone-within-3-seconds rule.

There will be a "testing range" where you can fly aerial vehicles.
