5-6% chance sounds quite reasonable to be honest.

Yes sir I am aware of that and have done the same in the past. It does not change RNG and the drop rates associated with it, all that funneling does is makes sure that if a item drops it goes to a predetermined toon. The chance of a drop happening does not change, funneling just granites that if the item drops the selected raider gets that gear. I have 53 kills and no shield, If I go and look at the World first teams the majority of their raiders have the shield. Which is too much for RNG to be responsible for, something is off.
Let me be clear here I am not saying I lost a roll and a Pally got the shield I am saying the shield NEVER dropped. I have not got a new shield from a raid scene firelands so if you go back to Dragon soul and add the number of kills I have on warmaster in to the total in this XPAC I end up with 94 boss kills and have not seen a shield drop. Blizzards RNG is broken and is crappy way of determining loot.
How does this tie in to the OP’s issue? While a portion of the the WOW community may see drop rates that are livable there is a large number of guilds and players that do not share in that bountiful loot reward.
